Although I liked The Searcher better, I do enjoy this duo/trio of characters and would love to read more with them. Tana French is always a pick for me.

I liked this one so much more than I thought I would. There is a lot going on in both narratives and much is unresolved but it was an interesting and emotional historical telling in dual-narrative format that held my interest to the end.

Ummm, meh? I didn‘t get it. And I really wanted to love it. There was just so much going on it was hard for me to see the point. Anyone else?

wanderinglynn I DNF‘d it at 25%. I thought it was overhyped & a bit pretentious. 5mo
Tamra This one has been my favorite audiobook experience! 😃 I know it isn‘t for everyone, but once I let go of trying to keep everything and every character (including footnotes) straight early on and just let it flow, it was captivating. It‘s like dipping in & out of conversations as an evesdropper. (edited) 5mo
Scochrane26 I really liked this book (I did physical copy), but I can understand if others don‘t. It‘s a different style & I think took me awhile to get into. 5mo
