I have a feeling this will be a bittersweet read without Bill.

Enjoying a crisp Sunday morning on the deck with a book and coffee, Daisy on my lap as usual. Not many more days to enjoy this time outdoors.

Although I liked The Searcher better, I do enjoy this duo/trio of characters and would love to read more with them. Tana French is always a pick for me.

Because no one goes to B&N to browse. I did only get one this time, so…

2nd reading of Broken Harbor. Tana French is one of my go-to authors and I liked this just as much the second time around.

I sat down to do some reading but there was a good show on tv so…

This has been on my TBR for a while. Starting now on audio.
There was way too much going on in this. It‘s like the twists couldn‘t keep track of themselves. Maybe ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
23 weeks. Reviews say it‘ll be worth the wait. Here we go…
New day new book. Just a few minutes in and already pulled in. Great narration

I haven‘t read John Green in a while. This one isn‘t my favorite but does illustrate well through the MC what it‘s like having extreme anxiety and OCD.
Carmie said “pick me.”
By far my favorite book of the year.
Although this has Klune‘s trademark quirk and poignancy it didn‘t hit quite the same for me as The House in the Cerulean Sea.
A little reading, a little coffee, a little waiting for the first college football game of the season to start.

Third hold this week came in but I can never bring myself to extend them after waiting so long.

I really like this book but it‘s so much longer than it needs to be. Still a pick.

I don‘t know anything about this book but the cover is so pretty and I‘ve waited 12 weeks so…
I loved Yellowface so not sure why I‘m surprised that I‘m enjoying this so much but, I‘m really enjoying this dark academia novel. The footnote reading in the audio version though, not so much.

Up next.
Quiet day outside reading with (one of) my favorite girl.

Well that didn‘t take long.

I liked this one so much more than I thought I would. There is a lot going on in both narratives and much is unresolved but it was an interesting and emotional historical telling in dual-narrative format that held my interest to the end.
I really enjoyed Before We Were Yours and hoping this one strikes a similar chord.
I love SA Cosby‘a raw and gritty Southern crime fiction. This earlier novel isn‘t quite as tight as his three later ones but still has all the same style.

Got a new S.A. Cosby for June‘s #AuthorAMonth
Loved the first three I‘d read so much I thought it would be worth the purchase!

I‘ve read this so many times over the years I thought I‘d give the audio a try.
Ummm, meh? I didn‘t get it. And I really wanted to love it. There was just so much going on it was hard for me to see the point. Anyone else?
Just started the audio. Not enjoying it as much as The Dreamers but hoping it gets more interesting soon.
Although the narrator is excellent, the narrative felt a bit disjointed. I think I might have followed the timeline better if read. Very well researched.
