I am 3 minutes into an 11 hour audio and already I can tell it‘s going to be hard to focus on the story when the intonations and inflections of the narrator are driving me nuts. Anyone else ever feel that way?
This one‘s had a bit slower start than others by Alice Feeney but still so good. The ‘aha-s‘ are starting to fall into place.
Thank you @Soubhiville for this amazing 2024 #AuthorAMonth prize box!
Looking forward to another year of discovering new authors and revisiting favorites in 2025.
Heavy. Absorbing and thought-provoking. My second book of the year but guessing it‘ll be one of my favorites.
Started my first book of 2025 and it‘s my pick for #AuthorAMonth . Full cast, BBC Audio production. Lots of fun.

And that‘s all she wrote. 76/80 read, one more than last year. 2025 goal set (maybe I‘ll even hit 80!)
Here‘s to great books, reading challenges, and fun Litsy swaps in the new year.
Cheers to 2024! Happy New Year! 🎉
Starting 76/80 of my 2025 Goodreads Reading Challenge goal.

Well, that was fun. I loved book 1, have book 2 on hold, and am happy there are 6 more in the series to look forward to.
Not overwhelmingly technical and a completely relatable AI protagonist. Witty and thoughtful. The novella format keeps the narrative engaging.
Worth a try even if you don‘t think Sci-fi is your thing.

Starting my first Martha Wells. No expectations. I‘m not familiar with this author at all but here I go.
This was a really good book but is there anything narrated by Marin Ireland that she doesn‘t make better??
Got my audio downloaded and I‘m ready to fly! Two with narration by my favorite Marin Ireland.
Enjoying a crisp Sunday morning on the deck with a book and coffee, Daisy on my lap as usual. Not many more days to enjoy this time outdoors.

Although I liked The Searcher better, I do enjoy this duo/trio of characters and would love to read more with them. Tana French is always a pick for me.

Because no one goes to B&N to browse. I did only get one this time, so…

2nd reading of Broken Harbor. Tana French is one of my go-to authors and I liked this just as much the second time around.

I sat down to do some reading but there was a good show on tv so…

There was way too much going on in this. It‘s like the twists couldn‘t keep track of themselves. Maybe ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
New day new book. Just a few minutes in and already pulled in. Great narration

I haven‘t read John Green in a while. This one isn‘t my favorite but does illustrate well through the MC what it‘s like having extreme anxiety and OCD.
Carmie said “pick me.”
Although this has Klune‘s trademark quirk and poignancy it didn‘t hit quite the same for me as The House in the Cerulean Sea.
In Indianapolis this weekend for a Fever game but wouldn‘t have left without a visit to the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library. So interesting to learn more about his life growing up and read personal correspondence.
