Gifts for my little sister!!! Here in India, we celebrate Rakhi to celebrate the relationship of brothers and sisters. It involves great food🍛🍱🍲🥗🥘, meeting up with family👨👨👦👦👨👩👧👧 and lots of gifts 🎁🎁🎁. But, since I don't have a brother. So, my sister and I, celebrate our relationship on Rakhi💖💖. So, today these gifts were finally delivered and I am super excited to give these to her. 🤓🤓🤓
pickI love Stephen King's writing. He brings a certain life to the world he creates that I don't see in other books. It's a very King-esque quality of good vs evil. One can easily see their own world being reflected in the book (sans the vampire 😂).
My only qualm is that the idea of Vampires has been ridiculed so much that whenever Mr. Barlow came up in the story I thought about the Daddy-vampire from Hotel Transylvania.
Just try to imagine him. 🤣

pickI just finished reading this insightful book. It is a great book to read for anyone who wants to start reading historical fiction. I say this from personal experience. This is so simple and well-written and well-researched. The lies, the ambition and Gregory's narration will keep you hooked.
(The TV show, The Crown 👑, got me interested in the Queens of England. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a little push to read about the royals.)

Just finished reading this book! Sometimes it was fun and sometimes it was boring. I did not feel that uncontrollable urge to just keep reading. But, then it had a great outlook about people and their relationship with books!

This book combines the horror of the Second world war and that of a child who has lost her parents. Hans Hubermann is the most caring foster-father. In what little he had of anything he made it a point to give Leisel as much as he could. The narrator tells you who is going to die. There is no mystery in that. But, there is the pain of losing your loved ones that moves you to tears. Unrelenting tears.
