3✨ Since I didn‘t really like the second book, I wasn‘t sure I was going to continue the series. This story though was really interesting. Serafina finds herself in a difficult situation and the only one that can help is her enemy! It made for an interesting storyline. Book 3 in #SeriesLove

TheSpineView Kudos for sticking it out. Not sure I could have. 4w
Andrew65 Well done 👏👏👏 4w

Driving to visit family in Wisconsin for thanksgiving today. Audiobook for the car ride is the third in this series. We listened to and loved the first two on our trip out to the Smoky Mountains this summer. Excited to continue with the third book!

1. Many places to choose, some I haven‘t been to in person yet. Will go w/ Asheville, NC.
2. 🔥🔥 about 97 in KY
3. A horrible boyfriend in college who wouldn‘t talk to me during a dinner & movie w/ another couple. Have no idea why he was mad at me, besides that he was an a$$.
4. No kids but I‘ve worked w/ many, 1 🐱
5. Made it through 1st week at new job. Having a job really takes away from my reading & Litsy time.

Laughterhp I want to visit Asheville so badly! 😁 5y
Megabooks The heat in KY was awful today!! 5y
Scochrane26 @megabooks I‘ve gone back to doing some in-home counseling, & it‘s horrible during the summer when I‘m wearing professional clothes or leave anything in there because of heat. Makes it hard to take a lunch or sit in car if you have a few min break. 5y

1. Hmmm...it‘s hard to chose but Robin Hood comes to mind
2. I was always scared of the monster under my bed
3. Honestly, probably all of them but I read a book recently with the Minotaur as the misunderstood monster
4. Hell/the Underworld in any form
5. I started the tag series but have not read this one, it incorporates some American mythology.

I read the first Serafina book a few years ago when a friend gifted it to me. So finally I got around to finishing the trilogy, and Wow. I enjoyed Serafina and the Black Cloak and found it really creepy. But these two are on another level. As the story arc becomes more sinister, Serafina learns to fully embrace both sides of herself and strives to protect her friends and family at any cost. Also, the writing is both lovelier and more brutal.

This is such a wonderful series with a unique setting and main character. I love how beautifully written it is and how it frequently has breath catching moments of fear. I will definitely check out Beatty's Willa of the Wood, which is set in the same universe.

TheBookHippie I agree! I so enjoyed this trilogy🙌🏻📖❤️ 6y

I was getting a bit restless with Contact so I switched to something lighter, and so far I am really enjoying it!

"Even we ourselves change, learning and growing, getting pulled down and rebuilding ourselves again."

You guys... this series had me hooked from the #BookTrailer, way before the publication date. Yes, it's a 6th grade reading level, but the suspense and the storyline kept me guessing and even made me squirm in fear. Book #3 did not disappoint!

I love love LOVE this series! It‘s so spooky and thrilling and fun. Adds history without throwing it in your face so you learn while you read a fun story. Very well written and a great third installment to the series! Hopefully he writes more :)

An excellent fast paced book that will definitely appeal to the middle school crowd. 12 year old serafina is a likeable heroine and I'm keen to read more of her adventures

Yeah_I_Read I was so pleasantly surprised by the first one that I bought all three lol. They make for something nice and light but strong after reading something heavy 😊😊 7y

Yay, I did it! 😄 Finished up the #24in48 Hour #Readathon by starting this book. Had to, at least, attempt to discover what sorts of horror Serafina tangles herself into with her latest adventure. 😉

Here are some of my stats.
Reading time: 24 hrs 10 min. 14 secs
No. of books/works finished: 4
No. of books/works started/cont'd: 2

Wished I could've read a little faster...but my eyes, my poor eyes! Sooo tired. Can barely keep my eyes op...zzzzz 😪

#jubilantjuly Day 1: July Most Anticipated @RealLifeReading I can hardly wait for this one, and I only just found out about it today. The first two Serafina books were so good. 🤗

sprainedbrain I have yet to read the second one... I need to do that! 7y
monkeygirlsmama @sprainedbrain For sure! I got both, at their separate release times, through NetGalley. Sadly, they didn't seem to be offering this third book, hence why I hadn't even realized it was almost out. Oh well, buy it I shall. 😁 (edited) 7y
booksandsympathy I haven't read the second one either. I really enjoyed the first one. I knew a third one was coming out only because facebook likes to show me the book trailer. The trailers for these books are always beautiful. 7y
monkeygirlsmama @booksandsympathy I don't recall seeing any book trailers for this one, but will have to look. Usually I don't really enjoy book trailers. Honestly speaking, I've always found them rather weird. Movie trailers make sense; the idea of a trailer for a book just always struck me as "b-movie" level. LoL 7y
booksandsympathy Yeah, I always thought the idea of them was weird, but the ones for these books are great. 7y
