Phenomenal. What a great “end” to the series.
The pace was crazy, there were SO many obstacles for Kate to face. Including a dragon & That thing that always happens right before the battle where everyone has their own secret plan & the other person has to be upset about it like they were not also doing that.
&a time jump saved me for my least favorite trope.
The series on a whole was very entertaining 10 books with very few things to pick apart.

My wife's finished this now, so I need to hurry up and finish, so we can talk about it. Been so busy with class. 😭

Oh boy, I have so many questions. Hard to believe I'm finally reading the last book, to be honest! I've enjoyed this series for so long, but never actually finished it.

The last book in this series, and I held out for a LONG time because I didn‘t want it to end... but they started a spin off series now, so it was time to give in and read the final chapter. SO GOOD! I love how far they took us in a book, and how they wrapped up so many loose ends, but left tendrils to pull on later in this world. I won‘t write anything to spoil the ending, but I will say I want to reread the whole series from the beginning now.

Looked up at the end of the book to discover someone watching me. 🦌

Quarantine accomplishment - read the entire Kate Daniels series. Hooray!

Everything we have come to know and love about the series is compounded into one last book. There were a few areas where the book time jumps. But even with the slight gaps in the story, it flowed well. This had a lot of loose ends to tie up. True to style the pages flew by and it came around full circle making sure nothing was left unanswered. #urbanfantasy

Finally read and finished this book. It took me long because I purposely didn't read it. I didn't want the world that Ilona Andrews had created to end. Everything was amazing and more. Beginning to end. I got book depression at the end. I hope they write more stories about this world.

I don't want to say more or else I will spoil it. 5/5!

I was getting worried as I neared the end, ‘cause there was a lot of ‘splaining left to do, but it worked!

Pluses today: finished this awesome read; got five new books in three different packages.

Minus: ants have invaded my kitchen and I just found them on and around my nightstand too. 😬 Not how I planned to spend today.

Having been reading Celtic mythology to my daughter recently, this rings true.

One of the reasons I love this series is that Kate feels real. I can relate to her struggles, magic and violence aside. This is such a mom-of-a-young-child feeling, no matter what your life is.

I finally checked out the third book in Katherine Arden‘s Winternight trilogy...only to find out the last Kate Daniels book is out in paperback. So after much dithering, I‘m returning the library book and sidelining my TBR stack to continue my KD reread and blaze through the finish. #bookpeopleproblems

This was a great final book for my favorite paranormal/urban fantasy series.

I can't believe how well Ilona Andres wraps up this series! How Kate is able to handle the final showdown with Roland is really imaginative and works incredibly well, and Conlan is absolutely adorable. I'm sad the series is over, but satisfied with the resolution.

After two and a half months of binge reading the Kate Daniels series, I must say I‘m kind of happy and sad to finally finished the whole series. This is best UF sdult book series I‘ve ever read in 2019 and I feel like nobody is ever going to replace this book. I‘m really sad because there‘ll be no more adventure with Kate and the gang, no more hilarious banter between Derek and Ascanio, no more cute moments with Conlan &No more amazing ⚔️ fights.

Finally think my heart is ready to read this... I was able to avoid all spoilers. Wish me luck...here I go. #endofaseries #icansurvive

This series I've been waiting for so long, anticipated the final book and I still haven't read it. I'm in a long and depressing reading stump. I have at least 3 books that I had preordered and waited a long time for its release and my brain (and heart) is not interested. I'm not even comfort reading (rereading old favourites).

Urgh~ someone have any idea how to get out of a reading slump?

This is really all the fault of Kate‘s father, his ancient past catching up with them. Of course their crossbred toddler adds some mayhem to the mix.

Absolutely have loved this series. Kate and Curran are the perfect couple & I'm sad that the series ended. However the ending has left things open to a new series maybe? Can't imagine Atlanta without the fearless duo so I'm sure I will have to do a re read of the series at some point.

All of Atlanta comes together to fight new enemies and old ones.

I started to worry near the end about things getting resolved in this final book of the series. I should have known better.

This was a wonderful series ending book but it was not as action packed as I would have liked. I would say that the pacing of 2/3rds of the book was slow and then the last 1/3rd was go, go, go! It wasn‘t unenjoyable but it wasn‘t what I was looking for either. Also, I am hopeful that there might be an inclusion of a certain character in The Iron Covenant series or a spinoff by how the book ended. Full review at www.thegenreminx.com

As I got older I was able to filter out and refine what types of genres I gravitated towards. One of these genres was Urban Fantasy.

Kate Daniels is one of my favourites series and I haven't read the last book... yet. I'm not ready for it to finish so I might read it on my trip to Korea/Japan.

I want a conclusion but at the same time I want the world to never end.

So good! Kate Daniels book 10 doesn‘t disappoint - Kate, Curran, and new baby defend Atlanta from an elder power dragon.

What a book. What a series! I adore Kate and her journey has been incredible. I love how far she came from book one and seeing it all culminate in this last book was bittersweet. Once again Kate faces a threat that could end Atlanta and the world she loves. Andrews laid the groundwork for this finale over several books and I love how it paid off. My only gripe would be the epilogue. 4.5⭐️

I only have this much left. Send help. I don‘t want this series to be over.

4/5⭐ Non-stop intense. Authors balanced inclusion of beloved characters w/ plot. Would've liked more of Saiman's new dynamic.

Kate as mother to a toddler didn't annoy me like I thought. Dali's need to be pregnant did. Adoption exists in post-Shift Atlanta & there's no reason to be so hyper-focused on becoming pregnant as a means to be a mother.

I continued to enjoy the magical worldbuilding & hope to see more stories in this world. #projectSAMS

Last book in the series.

Goes through all the side characters one after the other so we don't miss anyone.

So-so because the prologue was extremely poorly written. It was jarring.

11% in and I'm back in Kate's world 😁

If you've read Iron and Magic, not too much surprises you here. Conclusion is telegraphed well before the end. Would have been nice to have a couple of twists. That said, still a nice ending for the series. I'm not much interested in the sweep series. If there are Erra and Julie stories, I'd be interested.

One of the best final books in a series I‘ve read in a long long time. I felt the solution to Nimrod was a little rushed, but appreciated how the authors pulled characters and plots from their novellas to make sure this book provided a nice and complete ending, so make sure you read those! I definitely feel they didn‘t just cobble together a solution, and I can‘t wait for more books in this world.

An epic finale to one of my favorite series. This is probably the series I recommend the most and the amazing married writing team that is Ilona Andrews did not disappoint! Absolutely not a stand alone and I highly recommend reading the spin off Iron and Magic first. Sad to see the end of the main Kate and Curran story, but glad to see the world will continue!

This came out the first week of classes and I couldn‘t stay up all night reading it and be slow and useless. My awesome husband agreed to hide it for me, and he surprised me a really fun scavenger hunt on Friday since he was traveling away.

I‘ve read everything this couple has ever written and published. I adore it all. I loved this too, and I‘m sad to say goodbye to the characters. Highly recommend.

I‘m ready for bedtime. It‘s been so hard to put this off until this evening!

Starting this one on my work break. It's bittersweet as I love this series, but this is the last Kate Daniels book. 😢

I did not want this #urbanfantasy series to end!! Of course Ilona Andrews ends it in spectacular fashion, just as one would expect but I‘m sorry to see it end. And omg their baby... 😂😂😂

Ilona Andrews just revealed the cover for the last Kate Daniels book!! I'm so excited but also so sad the series is coming to an end ☹️ I've gotten so attached to all of these characters. Luckily Andrews is such a prolific writer I know there will be lots of other great books even if this series is ending ☹️ Highly recommend this series for anyone into fantasy with great action and humor.
