I did not enjoy this one as much as the first two, but it did advance the storyline. Hopefully it‘s a one off since so many love this series.

#ThoughtfulThursday @Eggs Again, apologies for the delay.
1. I like unreliable narrators, as long as they are believable and ring true. Hate it when they make no sense.
2. I don't collect bookish items (other than books), but I do have a few mugs from famous bookstores I have visited.
3. I loved the Poldark series.
Patio reading on this breezy morning with #nelson my reading buddy. I am enjoying this series so much. Graham has created such memorable, complex characters in a beautiful setting. I can see why Cornwall became a popular destination for Poldark fans.

Ross is hard to like sometimes and the pacing is slow
For some reason I‘ve always thought this is a “waaay to hyped thingy”, but it keeps on popping up when I research historical fiction. Is it worth a try, or should I just sweep it under the carpet and leave it there?
I'm about done with this book! I started reading the Poldark novels about a year ago (after watching a snippet of the first episode of the show) since it piqued my interest. I took quite a while away after "Demelza" and watched the first two seasons. If you have not started this series, please check it out. I wasn't sure if I was going to even like the series, but I'm in love with it.
Egan. The whole first half of this book bored me witless. More than I ever needed to know about the judicial and political systems of 18th century England. The second half was better, but not good enough to convince me to go on with the series. 3 books in and I find myself consistently underwhelmed by Graham‘s writing.
Poldark and the Pyeong Chang Games 👏👏👏what a great arvo 👍
A day late...
1. Poldark, Demelza, and Hugh
2. Valentines Day or Titanic
3. Sam and Jake in Sixteen Candles (stole from @merelybookish 😊)
4. @NataliePatalie

Just finished #3 in the series. I love the PBS series and enjoy reading the books...not sure when I‘ll catch up to the tv show though...probably still a few books to go!
The story of this book is very much one of light and shadows. The third of the Poldark books, I'm straight on to book four now, as I can't get my head out of 18th century Cornwall.
This series is becoming compulsive reading!
Me time! My nieces graduation and post graduation festivities are done. Time for some reading and maybe a bit of a nap. Happy a Saturday my friends! Short weekend for me, back to work tomorrow. 😑
Up early this morning, graduations and celebrations. But a few moments to read a few pages is a must. Happy reading, friends.
Book Three. 👌🏻#poldark
Happy Valentine's Day! So apparently my book boyfriend should be Poldark! Not gonna complain!
"Now with unexpected reprieve came the old cursed constriction on his tongue blocking up emotional expression." Just say it Ross!
Ok, this fall my plan twas to read The George Smiley series by John Le Carre but I've got Poldark fever. So now the plan is to read this series. I think its 8 books or so. Jeremy's up to bat and Warleggan is on deck. I havent watched any of S2, I dont want to spoil the books! Lol
Currently reading Jeremy Poldark, book three and I still love to dislike villain George Warleggan #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge @RealLifeReading
An appropriately grey day for this #classic
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟| Another fine book in the Poldark series. Graham knew how to write action and characters without seeming to be redundant or melodramatic. This series could easily be a soap opera, but it isn't. And he certainly knew how to write about place and time. I love getting lost in his Cornwall.
#augustofpages #currentlyreading My current reading stack has several books in it, but right now I'm mesmerized by the Poldark family and intend to spend my reading time today in 1792 Cornwall.
Getting ready for Season 2 of Poldark.
A tentative August TBR pile. Lots of Booker nominees, library books, the next two Poldarks because I want to read them before Season 2 starts, you get the drift. Not shown: Frankenstein, which is on my Nook and is the August selection for @TheSpinecrackersBookClub , and audiobooks. I tend not to plan too much, so this is subject to change. #augustofpages #bookphotochallenge
And the saga of the Poldarks continues to be extremely compelling and beautifully written. I just want Ross and Demelza to be allowed a little peace!!!
"They watched the fog grow luminous along its higher reaches, then familiar landmarks began to jut out with startling clearness, like stage scenery unveiled."
"Resentment and bitterness and old grudges were dead things that rotted the hands that grasped them."
Started reading it on my commute home. Graham clearly assumes you've read the previous books, and just drops you into the story a few months after Demelza ends, giving you a big development about a page in. So far, so good!!
