This is a beautiful book filled with gorgeous pictures of Prince Edward Island, many of them taken by LMM herself. I don‘t think there is anyone who is better at describing scenery than LMM and she has such an ability to transport you to another time. Highly recommended for fans of Anne, LMM or even if you just love flowers. 5⭐️

I think, book people are the best friends a reader can have. Look at these gorgeous books @scripturient @ju.ca.no and @Moony gifted me for Christmas. 💓💓💓
And even some of my 'non'book friends bought me books. Look at the huge Sherlock Holmes edition for example, I feel so happy. 💓💓💓

I enjoyed this book about PEI. Half pictures, half words, this book explores the scenery that inspired L.M. Montgomery. The writing was a little repetitive and clunky for my taste. And I wish there had been a little more about LMM‘s life, but overall this is a great gift book for any Anne lover.

Starting this sweet and soothing book for a relaxing Sunday morning.

This popped up in my library search while I was looking for something else. So I figured it was destiny and I requested it. 😂 These kinds of books are so soothing to me. I nearly ran out of spoons this week, just doing “normal” stuff, and I haven‘t felt like reading since I lost my reading buddy, so I‘m hoping a gentle browse and a restful weekend will help me mend. ❤️

Mini haul. Kent Haruf is my favorite author at the moment and I‘ve had my eye on the Green Gables book for awhile.

My love of writing was kindled properly by Emily of New Moon and I loved visiting that scenery for the first time in this book. A scenery I've inhabited on page at least once a year since I was 8.

Oh what a beautiful book! It‘s charming and insightful, and such a great perspective. I‘ve been paving through a chapter a night for a week. I love it so much I made it my staff pick at Porter Square Books!

As spring transitions into summer, I always get in the mood for books that will transport me somewhere. The last little while, I‘ve been indulging in this glorious book about the landscapes of Anne of Green Gables. Without fail Montgomery‘s novels remind me of everything that‘s quintessentially tied to the passing of seasons. And I usually find that I‘ll pick up at least one of her books each year to escape into the beauty of her world.

Anne fans...you have to read this! I loved this book. Reid shows the similarities between Montgomery and Anne through their adoration of nature and landscape. Filled with breathtaking photography, I wish I could pack a bag and leave for PEI. Montgomery, her books, and PEI came to life for me in these pages. So good!

If I remember correctly, the #NetGalleyTBRAttack starts tomorrow. In preparation, I kind of planned out what to read (and requested some more too!). This will be first up, as my download will expire soon.

I can‘t get over how much I loved this book—I picked it up and thought I‘d read just the first couple paragraphs but couldn‘t put it down! It brings together snippets from Montgomery‘s books, the illustrations from Anne of Green Gables, Montgomery‘s personal journals, and colorful photography of lush Prince Edward Island. Beautiful to touch and read! Truly wonderful!

Finished copies of The Landscapes of Anne of Green Gables to came in and the book is so gorgeous!! I love the paper over board cover hidden under the jacket.

This book is a must read for any Lucy Maud Montgomery fan. It is chock full of beautiful photos and interesting information about Prince Edward Island. I liked the way the author entwined Montgomery‘s own life and words in this book. Loved it.

Tea and toast before bed with this lovely book. Tonight‘s tea is Simple Loose Leaf Mi-Cha Herbal. It‘s a yummy blend of chamomile and mint! #booksandtea

Reading this pretty ARC while I have a sweet, little cuddling kitty in my lap. She‘s so warm and it‘s pouring down rain so I am struggling to stay awake.

I took a few weeks hiatus from reading &came back to finish this lovely book of picturesque settings &glimpses into the past.

This would make a stunning coffee table book. Filled with nostalgia, gorgeous pictures, & a brief then and now about Prince Edwards Islands, The Landscape of Anne of Green Gables was idyllic &perfect for a peaceful afternoon read.

The parallels between Montgomery's &Anne's disposition &surroundings were great too.
