pick🎧 Good sequel! I liked the time shifts in the story that slowly show the story unfolding Annie‘s life from birth until the ending. Complete character development! Good twist. Fast easy read. The narrator is good, you‘ll want to listen again.

pickI just love Mitch Albom's writing. Fiction or non, it doesn't matter. I love how this picked up from the first book, years later. My favorite Albom fiction is still The Time Keeper, and non-fiction is Have a Little Faith. Finding Chika was amazing too, better in audiobook. He reads them himself; that matters.

This book is a sequel to #TheFivePeopleYouMeetInHeaven. It got even more interesting to have found out the other side of the story. Another set of learnings. Another heartfelt story.

so-soBook 6 of 2021: This is the sequel to one of my all time favourite books (the five people you meet in heaven) - so it was a welcome re-visit to a familiar world. The sequel doesn't have quite the same spark for me though, but I still enjoyed the journey.

I thoroughly believe in Albom‘s concept of the way things work, that we are all connected. But, most importantly, I felt like I was there with all of them in Heaven. pickMy belated review. This is a very short read—one night for me and I‘m a slow reader. This is an uplifting follow-up to the first book, but I don‘t think it is as compelling as Five People. Annie‘s life story is good but it just wasn‘t as jaw-dropping as Eddie‘s. Five People was masterful. This book feels like the author now has a formula and can just churn out these stories. I hope he doesn‘t. A very good read but it doesn‘t need a sequel.

It is an emotional rollercoaster that pushes you to think more on yourself and reflect how your actions influences those around you but also how the past impacts your future (even if you don't have a direct connection to it).

@julesG so I was ready to pick up our buddy read but then school and work has just hit me really hard and has swamped me for the next several days. Because of that I just don‘t see myself being able to get through another fantasy book due to my lack of concentration 😫 Hopefully I can pick it back up soon and I can see how you liked it once I get to it 😢 Sorry for having to bail because I was so looking forward to the book!

pickFinally finished one of my Christmas gifts-Mitch‘s new sequel. For me, it was worth the 14-year wait. 🥳 But you must read this one right after “Five People” to fully appreciate it. I loved revisiting Eddie, learning even more about him and then finding out all about the little girl he tried to save. And I was so pleased to read a beautiful segment about how our beloved pets are patiently waiting to see us again in heaven. Of course they are!
I also got this one practically new at HPB. I loved the Five People You Meet in Heaven and @KristenDuck made me aware that this sequel exists. So....#blameitonLitsy

Loved this sequel to one of my all-time favorite books. A very touching read with so much heart.
I recommend this to all fans of Mitch Alvin‘s first, The Five People, and anyone who believes that there‘s going to be answers.
pickI was nervous cause this woman was about to turn 31 and so am I. Then I just got caught up in her world. I liked who she met along the way and I like that it wasn‘t like Eddie‘s story. She needed the hope that her journey gave her and I like it.
