The Black House is set in the Outer Herbrides. A Payment in Blood, though set in England for the most part, ends off its coast in Skye. As seen in the map, Skye is south central & parallel to the Herbrides. #thingsincommon

Reading while waiting in the ER with my husband- it‘s now hour 5. His MD sent him because he is in intense pain, as well as other medical details related to the kidney stone blasting/stent removal he has experienced recently. #EasterOMC #AwesomeApril
The cast and crew of an upcoming play are under suspicion when the playwright is murdered. This is a good installment in the Inspector Lynley series but the real star of the story is his partner Detective Sergeant Havers.

I‘ve been reading up a storm lately, but I‘m way behind in reviews and posts, so apologies in advance for multiple posts! Excited about #NutsInMay! My goals: read my #Bookspin, my #DoubleSpin, finish the tagged book, and read two other books from the shelves by my bed. Onward!
Thanks for hosting, @Andrew65 !
This is one book I have been waiting to get to for a while, the 2nd book in the Inspector Lynley Series. They aren‘t quick reads with long chapters & big passages of text, but they are very well written and keep your interest throughout. An interesting dynamic between the four main characters in the series. This book left it at an interesting point in Lynley‘s life, intrigued to see what comes next.
Book 5 for #MidYearRush, Book 3 for #24B4Monday
When do we read this one?

Are we planning to read book 2 (tagged book) of the Inspector Lynley Series in November?
Also always forget which Ken Follett book we are meant to be reading. 😙
I also have down Maeve Binchy‘s Heart and Soul (my favourite one and meet Fiona again), Cara Black‘s Murder in Clichy. Are there any others I am forgetting?
I was in one of those moods where I couldn‘t settle or concentrate on a book .. so I went to Elizabeth George #2 in the series.... well underway now ...
She‘s good & I‘m sorted for the evening now 📚 & 🍷
A meet up with online book friends Lori and Carrie for some book shopping and dinner.
Loved it. Love a good British mystery and this one was full of scandalous details. I've been mad at Elizabeth George ever since the first book of hers I ever picked up included a child dying. But I'm glad I gave her another go. Can't wait to read more of Lynley and Havers. #booktober #helloctober
