I was so disappointed I didn‘t like this book more. Maybe the writing style just isn‘t for me. I don‘t think I have the theatrical mindset to appreciate this in the way other people might be able to ☹️

Recently, I made a decision to wrap all my TBR in kraft paper and number them so that I could avoid bias in picking my next reads. I wanted to make the process more randomized so I could get through my TBR more efficiently. I ended up picking this book at random and I‘m so stoked because it‘s a book that‘s been on my shelf for WAY too long. I got it from the My Thrill Club sub box and am so excited to finally cross it off my list!
I liked this book but didn't love the ending. I listened to the discs in my car and I found it really engaging. The part I loved most was everything I learned about Boudellaire. It was fascinated, I liked the premise, and I think it was pretty well executed. 🌟🌟🌟
I had this on audiobook in my car and I finally finished. It was pretty darn good. I liked the twists and turns that kept occurring and I really didn't know what was going to happen until the very end. 🌟🌟🌟✨
This book pulled me in. The twists were fun and even though I kept thinking I knew what was next, the author kept me guessing. I also like that he wrote under an androgynous name to Void being discredited as a male author. Great book!
It was a quick and entertaining enough read for a while, but overall WAY too melodramatic for my taste and the ending was absurd and eye-rolly enough to tip me from so-so to straight pan 🙅🏽♀️
This was quite the twisted story and you're never truly sure who is being honest but that was the point of the story. The plot is a slow one but it builds to an interesting climax. It's hard to like any of the characters but again I think that is the point. You don't trust anyone. I did however figure out who killed Stella early on and stuck to that theory throughout. The writing is detailed and descriptive. 3* #SecretReaders
A little bit out of my comfort zone, but it definitely kept me riveted until the end. Claire is an actress in need of a good part. Her present shady job is propositioning men and videotaping them to prove they are cheaters to their wives.one of the wives is murdered and Claire is involved in the performance of her life in order to catch the killer. The book delves onto very creepy sadistic online groups, could be unsettling for some
"Read" this in audio format, perfect. Part of the narration is done as if it's a play, was like listening to an old time radio show. Interesting story, twists throughout, did not see the ending coming, a very fun book.
Had to skip a few books on my #TBRCrew list, many of my choices I have on hold, 3-4 week wait. Hoping this means people reading more! Make a great day everyone.
VERY similar to the debut, you get to the end and think, oh yeah, didn‘t we know that? The ride is good though

Received these books from @Hazel2019 - yes, they got here fast! Thanks for the extra books! I am looking forward to reading these! Great choices!
Another book in which I had no clue what was going on and I enjoyed that! It‘s driving me crazy though...the poet Baudelaire is featured as a major plot point. I recently read another book in which one of the characters was obsessed with Baudelaire. Do any of you know what book that might be?
Hi ladies. I promise I‘m sending my book tomorrow. I was unfortunately in the hospital this week. I had a ruptured cyst and it put me under all week. I‘m so sorry I‘m late. I will try and get it overnighted tomorrow! Hope you‘re all doing well!! I promise I‘m never like this. #lmpbc

Claire Wright is hired by a firm of divorce lawyers to entrap straying husbands. Patrick Fogler's wife is found murdered. Claire is asked to lure him into a confession. Claire will soon realize she is playing the deadliest role of her life. I listened to this audio which had more than one narrator. It is a twisty plot that kept me guessing until the very end. Hard to know who to believe. Highly recommended.
Here are a few books I picked. Anything jump out at anyone?
Believe Me by JP Delaney
Missing Pieces by Joy Fielding
The Blind by AF Brady
Look Past by Eric Devine

I wanted to like this, but I just couldn‘t get invested enough in the main character to believe her actions, motivations, or any of the twists and turns of the plot. She seemed kind of shady and the ending felt a little bit unfulfilling. Ultimately, there was too much happening in the plot for any of it to work for me. ⭐️⭐️ #netgalley
Last day of my law library conference, and it‘s supposed to be 30+ degrees today. Here‘s hoping for an early day, and an evening reading in the yard with the family.
At first, the begining chapters were a bit slow for take off. But, not long after a reading through a few more chapters, it finally picked up for me and I couldn't put it down!! One of my #TwelveInTwo reads!! I think I want to keep this challenge going for myself. 😁
...who feels they're constantly watching themselves in the movie of their own life?" ??♀️
This was a quick twisty read. Several times I thought I had it all figured out and I just didn‘t!! Delaney is a good writer who keeps you guessing and while there were creepy moments, it wasn‘t too scary, phew!!
It‘s getting good !!!!!!!! I‘ve made it past the halfway point 💃🏾🎉📚
This was a #LitsyMadeMeDoIt. It‘s rare for me to read anything from the thriller genre, but let me tell you! This one had me completely riveted!! 😃 I finished it really quickly. Lots of twists and turns and you never quite know what‘s real and what‘s not. I wasn‘t a huge fan of the ending, but the rest of the book more than makes up for it! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️/5
I recommend going into Believe Me knowing as little as possible about it. There are so many twists and turns and over the top plot points, but somehow it worked. I was thoroughly entertained throughout the whole book. Yes, there were plenty of times where I thought “that could/would never happen,” but it was fun to suspend disbelief and go for a wild thrill(er) ride.

Believe Me was an interesting, fast-paced read. Claire is an actress trying to break into the business. She gets an offer by a lawyer to help bust men cheating on their wives by using her acting skills. But Claire has many secrets, one of which revolves around her inability to turn her acting off in every day life. Claire finds herself helping a detective and psychiatrist trying to catch a man they believe killed his wife and all hell breaks loose
Well, this was a creepy, twisty read. I managed to snag the audio from the library which was a real treat to go along with the book.
I finished my first #bookaweekchallenge book! This one... oh man. The first 3/4 of the book I couldn‘t get enough. It slowed up some but not enough for me to stop reading. I‘m a little baffled but I really liked it! I gave it 🌟🌟🌟🌟 ok Goodreads. I think this one was better than the author‘s first book!
In the lounge at the Chevy dealership waiting on my suv to get an oil change and tire rotation. Hoping to finish this book today! 🤗
This book... let me tell you, it has me picking it up any chance I get! It‘s so good! 😀 Happy Wednesday!!!
Cuddling with Theo before heading in to teach class and training a client. Started this book yesterday for #bookaweekchallenge 🤗
5 ☆ Claire is a REAL pistol, her goal is to be an actor. Shes sharp as a whip + observant so sidelining for a law firm to catch cheating husbands comes easy. That is, until her client turns up dead + she‘s asked to go undercover to help nail a sociopath. She gets so caught up she has trouble differentiating between self + the role she‘s playing.. just how far will she ACTUALLY push it.. enough to kill!?? What a crazy, creepy ride! 👍🏻 #TwoInThree
Soaking up the last bits of summer. ☀️ 📚
A stormy holiday weekend allowed me to ramp up my reading game!!! 😊 This book is a total roller coaster!!! Twists and turns galore. Then, just when you even out and coast, you start all over again. Very dark, unreliable, and creepy. Absolutely loved it. 💜💜💜
I loved The Girl Before, J.P Delaney's previous book and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. This book was a great read too just when you think you have it all worked out another plot twist is thrown at you, leaving you wondering again who did kill Stella? 🤔 This book kept me feverishly turning pages. I eagerly await a third book from this author (already pre-ordered to my Kindle!). #jpdelaney #believe me #tea_sipping_bookworm #goodreads
