An absolute gem of a book! Author/illustrator Susan Branch & her husband spent two months touring the English countryside, and this is her diary from that trip. Her writing style is warm and friendly, and her watercolor illustrations are beautiful. Armchair travel at its very best! But now, I want to duplicate this trip in its entirety (although I‘m not sure I could swing the two-months-away-from-home part.)

In A Fine Romance, Susan #tours England with her beloved Joe, documenting their travels with photos, watercolor paintings, and stories. It's one of my favorite books to escape for a while and dream of taking our own adventures ❤️

Thank you so much for hosting a fun giveaway, and congrats on reaching 20,000!
I've been thinking and thinking of what book to choose as my favorite. I LOVE the Georgette Heyer mysteries. But which one is my *favorite*? 🤔

I think my favorite book that gives me hope and transports me to a happy place is A Fine Romance. Reading it, savoring the pages and pictures - it makes me feel that life can be cozy, and simple, and lovely. ❤️

Hello everyone! I know it's been too long but I've been off having fun! I spent August in England visiting my boyfriend. I'm home now missing him and his wonderful country. 😢

I started this lovely book before I left and I'm trying to finish it now. I love her artwork. It's so sweet and cozy!

Enjoying my vicarious journey to the English Countryside with Susan Branch. Makes me want to be a better travel journaler. I can always get the first day in writing but it's downhill after that. #nonfictionnovember
