pick4/5 for this dragon shifter book! This book has been on my TBR for so long. I have no idea why I waited so long to read it. I need the next one right now. I loved Ember. I would recommend this book.
so-soThe concept of this story caught my eye. Dragons assimilating to human life, hiding among us to overcome a hidden militia filled with dragon slayers. Sounds exciting, right? And to make it even better, one side of the story is told from a dragon‘s point of view by Ember, while the St. George side is told by Garret. But it took a turn into romance and forbidden love instead.

So I am hooked Talon is a great book I am hoping to finish it tonight. But I am finally feeling pain from my surgery yesterday.
Gonna enjoy this next 24 hours seeing all I can eat is soft cold food to help with the swelling of having 12 teeth pulled. I am also gonna try and read Talon to distract me from the pain. I am on pain medication but 4 of my teeth give my oral surgeon a fight so he warned me I might be in some pain even with the strong pain medications he gave me.

pickAnother read from the HS library. I enjoyed the set up of this series and this world. It was a little slow at times, but by the end I couldn‘t put it down. I definitely plan on picking up the sequel to find out what happens next. I do hope the love triangle eventually goes away though, I get tired of those in YA. #vhsreads #yalit #dragons

pickHuh. That wasn't totally what I was expecting and I'll be honest that I felt rather lost for a good chunk of the book but it did definitely get better as it went on. I eye rolled hard at the romantic triangle but I liked having several good/bad/grey sides or organizations to the story. Somewhere between 3 and 3.5 stars and I'll definitely pick up the sequel

I had an Instagram prompt for a #shinybook so I grabbed one off my shelf . . . And I used it as an excuse to make coffee to go with my brownie.
This book is high on my #tbr list, but right now it's just so pretty!
pickFinished listen to Talon today. The book was well done and I was really interested in the society of Talon and St. George Clan. Even dragons have problems with the politics of their society. I enjoyed the characters and the plot line.

Mini book haul while I'm waiting for my guilt inducing order from the bookoutlet to come in.
so-soI loved Julia Kagawa's Iron Fey series which is why I wanted to read the Talon series.
It's surprisingly slow for a book about dragons - and they're often (mostly) in human form which was a disapointment. The main bulk of this book also focuses on Ember being a teenage girl with friends and a love interest.
Overall a decent read, but doesn't live up to expectations. Hopefully the series picks up 🐉
so-soThis is my first Kagawa book. Maybe I should have gone with the Iron Fey series instead. I wasn't too fond of Ember, who comes across a whiny teenager than dragon. The story isn't bad, and the writing is excellent, but I think I won't miss much if I stop now (so many more promising books to read!)

I have never heard of this author, nor this book, but it is a free read on the Series Starters Prime Channel at Audible and sounds like it could be good. I am only a couple of chapters in so it is hard to say any more at this point ...Has anyone read this book/series? #litsyatoz

Apparently Talon is about dragons. That's all I know and that's all I need to feel like it's going to be amazing. I read Julie Kagawa's first series Iron Daughter... I really enjoyed the first book but then kind of lost interest by the second. Even with losing interest I can say that Kagawa is amazing when it comes to world building and she writes some pretty awesome man as well.
pickI bought this for my 12 year old daughter, so I didn't have too high expectations. It was a good read, when considering the age group it's aimed at.

pick#JulieKagawa was visiting #Denmark in conjuction with the release of the Danish translation of the third instalment of her Talon Saga this past week, and I found out she would be visiting a bookstore fairly close by on Monday night 🙂 I hadn't read anything by her and Monday morning at 7 I started this, fell in and loved it 😍 I didn't go see her, but I finished the book in a day and was so excited I couldn't fall asleep at night 😆🙈
pickIf you like secret dragon societies, secret orders set out kill secret dragon societies then you will love this book. Beautifully written and action packed I can't wait to read the next one

so-soI enjoyed this book and the dragon premise but found some of the romance and youth elements a little predictable and time wasting. That said I am a grown up reading a YA novel!
