Got to attend the Chippewa Valley Book Festival last night and I so enjoyed being surrounded by all the bookish love!
Today!
I love the brooklyn book festival but I‘m trying to rein it in this year, I still have unread books from last year 😬
#brooklynbookfest
I found myself in a bit of a reading slump, bailed on 4 books in a row! It‘s definitely me. I will reattempt them all soon.
Sooo, I decided to go to the LA Times Festival of Books for inspiration. Plus my TBR mountain needed to grow. 😂
Great event! Great authors! My favorites were Kristin Hannah & Sadeqa Johnson, and they were on the same panel! Such inspiring women! I found several new to me authors & I supported my local Indies! #bookhaul
Texas Book Festival is this weekend! I spent an hour or so today figuring out which panels I‘m going to see- always a tough decision with so many authors!
Anyone else planning on attending?

Went to a book festival today! (One of my bucket list items for #scarathlon) 🎃📚📖 Got to meet Riley Sager and Sung J Woo. @Clwojick #teamslaughter
Yesterday the inaugural Green Mountain Book Festival took place in Burlington, Vermont. Be prepared, there will be many posts. There were 38 authors in total. First of all I had no idea that so many of the writers involved live in Vermont. We have an abundance of excellent authors here. Here is Jay Parini, professor at Middlebury College, author of Benjamin‘s Crossing (so good) and The Last Station (about Tolstoy). Brett Ann Stanciu [cont.)..
Anyone attending the annual Bookmarks festival in Winston-Salem?
Had a great time at the Decatur Book Festival today. Covid protocol followed and felt great to see some authors in person.
The Decatur Book Festival is happening this Saturday. Sessions are both in-person (Covid protocols in place) and virtually. Today is the last day to register to attend (in person or online). All events are free to the public. Local indie bookstores are setting up outdoor pop up stores all day. https://decaturbookfestival.com
Check out 2 FREE Virtual Book Events this Saturday: San Diego Festival of Books & San Diego Book Crawl. 75 local authors, live Q&A, lots more! I‘m tagging fellow San Diegans and Californians, but it‘s open to all. Here‘s the link: https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdfestivalofbooks
On Insta: sdbookcrawl & sd.festivalofbooks

A year ago yesterday, I was crossing an #ocean to return home from our lovely Northern Europe cruise. A year ago tomorrow, I was at a local book festival. With little fanfare or notice, that festival didn‘t happen this year. Likewise, probably to the surprise of nobody, the #NationalBookFestival is going virtual this year. I‘ll post more information as I find it. #boundtogetherjune
I just found out the Hays Book Festival has gone virtual this year - and it‘s free. I may not be able to attend many of the panels/talks because of the time difference... but I‘m going to try to attend as many as I can (and definitely the one with my boy Benedict C)
Festivalgoers can explore the full programme and register to take part at hayfestival.org/digital
Free virtual events this week! I was really looking forward to attending the inaugural Paper Plains Festival this week in person. Luckily, many of the originally scheduled authors will be able to join in online. Events are free, register at https://www.paperplains.org/events
Meredith & Tara attended #yallfest for the first time this past weekend and had a BLAST! They went with their friends, Aliza, Michelle, and Naomi, who are veteran Y‘allfesters, and they fit in a bunch of panels, signings, and of course grabbed a whole lot of ARCs (advanced reader copy) of Young Adult books that are being published next year. (This pic is the book haul for all 5 ladies, and a few of their own books they brought to get signed.)
Was fortunate enough to get to spend part of my 30 hour layover in Richmond, VA at the Richmond Booklovers Festival where I got to meet @MidnightBookGirl
Our annual local book festival Liberi sulla Carta!!

I think Mom and I had fun at the Bookmarks NC book festival...😆😆 I got to meet and have books signed by Margaret George and V. E. Schwab and This introvert totally made a fool out of herself chatting with Tea Obreht and Michael Parker. 🤦🏻♀️ #soawkward #hufflepuff
Here‘s my wrap-up from last weekend‘s Decatur Book Festival (with Book recommendations)

I had such a good time at #nationalbookfest today. Saw Ann M Martin, José Andres, and Victoria Schwab. Also the Librarian of Congress.
The Decatur Book Festival 2019 is finally here! Woot woot! I'm pumped! Check out some brilliant authors who are gonna be there too! Some of them include Ibi Zoboi, Fiona Davis, Ingrid Rojas Contreras, Julia Phillips & Nicole Dennis-Benn!

I‘ll be in Edinburgh next weekend for #edbookfest. Anybody there and want to grab a cuppa together? 😊
I realize that I'm like a month (or more)-old newspaper, but I just saw this post from the Decatur Book Festival recognizing one of our fellow Littens!! Congratulations, @Well-ReadNeck !! This is very cool. And you did an amazing job; this year's presenter list is incredible!! #dbf2019
