I did not like the world building
I listened to this in 2 clumps quite far apart from one another. It was kind of weird because maybe I stopped listening initially because it wasn‘t gripping me, but when the time came that I got it out again it was such a relief to sink into a story I knew already and take off from where I‘d left. I ended up really enjoying this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love this challenge that @Clwojick created! My first two books have “witch” in the title, even if they couldn‘t be any more different than one another!
It wasn‘t freedom she wanted. It was belief in something—a prize big enough to run for and to fight for and to keep on reaching toward no matter what.
I'm getting prepped for #Jumpstart2023
No goals for me this year but I'm going to work on my #AuldLangSpine picks, whatever gets chosen for #TrappedOnAnIsland and I threw in a couple that I just want to read.
Will I change my choices over the month? More than likely but I've been waiting for the beginning of the year to start these so I'm feeling good about my choices.

4/5. Definitely would recommend this book.
Forgot to post a pic before putting this one in the mail 🤦♀️ Between work & this horrible cold (not COVID 🙏), I‘ve been in such a fog.
Anyways…I really liked this #LMPBC pick! I enjoyed the characters, the plot, the world…everything really! It was a bit confusing at times, but I think that was because Dennard was doing some real world building & fleshing out the magic system.
@Littlewolf1 @HufflepuffGirl90 @Cheshirecat913 @suvata
This one has been on my TBR.
The beginning was scattered with alternating POV that took a good many chapters to catch on to.
However, the story pulled itself together & I enjoyed the back half.
Some of the magic seemed a little too all powerful for one character.
I enjoyed the magic concept & the world building and want to find out what happens so on to book 2!

This one is on the way.
@Littlewolf1 @Alfrazier21 @HufflepuffGirl90
This gave me such a rocky start, but ended up being rather enjoyable towards the end.
@Cheshirecat913 this will be sent out to you tomorrow ☺️

@Littlewolf1 got this at work today! It arrived in great condition and I can‘t wait to read them!

4.3⭐️ The book was fast pace and addictive in the beginning. There were some moments that made me stop and go “really”; however, for the most part it was extremely enjoyable.
This is my second reread through of Truthwitch. I'm completing a reread as I've recently purchased the latest published book.
I love this series, and I'm enjoying reading even more than my 1st time round. The magic system is really cool and I love all the characters with the flaws and the bonds they've formed.
This is definitely a massive favourite fantasy series and I will reread again.

4/5 ⭐
I wish I had read this sooner. I thought the story was unique and the world really interesting. The characters are awesome. There was enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat. I like the romance in it.
Anyways, I highly recommemd this book.
I can't wait to see what else will happend.
What I'm planing to do today, all day. 🥰
Currently playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
It is very cold, here, in Canada. My little dog, Romy and I are snuggling on the couch with blankets. Shane and Presley are sleeping on their new doggy Memory Foam bed. They absolutely love it. 😍❤📚🐶
Currently reading. 📚
I had this book on my shelf for about 4 years, I think. It's about time.
Thanks, Lisa, for thinking of me! ⭐️ #Two4Tuesday
1: The tagged book was part of my #BWS from @Endowarrior21
2: I did buy a few choices yesterday for an upcoming swap. Can‘t wait to finish shopping & wrap & mail it!

A fun read over all. Although I forced myself to read it despite my dislike for magical sea creatures, pirates and too much of fighting sequences (it‘s difficult to visualise it). Nice reveals. The only thing that‘s keeping me hooked to this book is the Cahr Awen theme, an ancient prophecy that is coming true for the witchlands world. But The author needs to put a page for word meanings for reference as there r many foreign words.
SO FAR SO GOOD! The only problem with this book is it starts without a start 🤨 not much world building, no fancy intro, no description of how the main characters look, just few stingy lines but one is able to understand the Witchery and the magic and the world as you read along. It‘s an un-glamorous world with grime ridden actors and towns. Those who don‘t care for such things can read this, but it took me sometime to get used to it...
Moving on to the “Witchlands Series”

Day 24 - #IfYouLikeThis #Avatar
#YoullLikeThisBook #Truthwitch
Truthwitch is the 1st book of the Witchland series. It is suggested to read the whole series.
7 chapters in, I‘m confused by how the magic works or how Threads work or if everyone has magic or only some people. It‘s also a bit disconcerting that witches eyes change colour when they‘re practicing magic.
One more book down! I might actually finish #MakeYourMythTaker and #ogreadathon this weekend!
I enjoyed the worldbuilding in this book, and the immersive nature of the fantasy that just throws you into the world with little explanation. The protagonists are interesting and flawed, and the stakes are big enough to make me want to keep reading to find out what the whole legend of the Cahr Awen is all about.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, much to my surprise.
I don‘t usually read multiple pov‘s because I usually end up disliking one or more of the characters. However, I ended up enjoying all pov‘s. Can‘t wait to read the rest of the series.
I ended up liking this YA fantasy a lot more than I thought I would. Yes, the instalove made me roll my eyes, and yes, there's not an awful lot of substance to the world-building. But it was fast paced with lots of twists and turns which is exactly what I needed during a busy week.
I‘ve had this on my list for a while. It was a little slow at first but once it got going it was an interesting ride of betrayal and war.
I really enjoyed this book! It‘s a YA, fantasy novel where there are numerous types of witches with different powers. The story follow Safi, who is a truthwitch, and her best friend Iseult, who are being hunted by a bloodwitch. It was slow in the middle but really finished strong! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy, witches and lots of action!
I‘m loving this book so far! Witches are my thing!
Went book shopping yesterday! I picked up some interesting ones, hopefully they‘re as good as I‘ve heard!
More of my #BookHaul 🙌📚📚📚
I‘m really bad for starting a series then buying all the subsequent books but not reading them. The Witchlands is one of these. I loved Truthwitch and was so excited to get to Windwitch, then kept pushing it back and pushing it back and now I have Bloodwitch and still haven‘t read it. Anybody else do this?

📚 Circle of Shadows
📚 Truthwitch or My Plain Jane
While this started a little slowly, it really picked up by the end and left me interested in reading the next book. I'd rate it good but not great, but I hear the series develops well.
Overall I'm interested in seeing more development in explaining the politics of this world, since they are critical to the plot, as well as getting a deeper understanding of the magic system.
