Starting a Christmas romance this morning! ☺️ #winterreadathon

I have been mixing in some Christmas romances for the last week or so, and they are already as terrible as I remember. I love it!! This one wasn't too bad, just kind of a downer the whole time. Literally everything in Kate's life sucks and keeps getting suckier. If there is a chance for luck to go bad, it goes way bad. Yet somehow everything is magically resolved in just a few pages at the end??? Not the worst I have ever read, but it left me⬇️

Had a horribly busy week & day today being COVID tracer for work while the normal leads are away. (Note to self-leave town for the holidays).😳My plan to #RingInTheNY was stay inside & finish this book. Sweet, if a tad sad at times, but like all holiday romances, it ended well & while not a strong pick, I‘ll give it for the season. Work is kicking my butt but luckily it‘s a short week with having a holiday for New Years Eve. I am currently first COVID contact through 1/3 for vacations though, so with rising case counts, all hell could break loose over the weekend.🤷🏻‍♀️I did sneak time for a couple of chapters of the tagged holiday book & a 1/2 sweet onion shoyu ahi poke, 1/2 furikake salmon bowl.

I enjoyed listening to this story, the main characters are so likable, I was really rooting for them! And a narrator with a fun accent always takes a book up a notch for me🎄❤️

Such a delight! Pretty predictable but that is reassuring in this time of uncertainty. Great characters, interesting setting, made me want to visit Bristol at Christmastime! Great holiday read! Oh and this is my 200th book read this year #Bookbingo @TheAromaofBooks

This was such a sweet read. While it was hard to watch Kate trying to hold everything together, I loved all the characters, how her friends supported her and Jack, and the ending was a Christmas gift. Truly a heartfelt story, especially for anyone who loves Christmas movies, because it reads like one.

Finally finished my Christmas reads. I took on too many this year to get them all in before New Years. Lovely Christmas book but filled with heavy emotions in some parts. Not as light as some Christmas reads. Got all the feels from me.

I'm a sucker for a happy ending 😂 It was pretty predictable, but a sweet story nonetheless.

Ok guys so this is the first time I broke Litsy rules 😂 the next two days are going to be a mess of unhealthy family so I opened my #wintergames Secret Santa early to fortify myself. @Charityann I love it! Also that‘s probably my favorite Christmas card of the year! The tin was filled with homemade cookies that were delicious with my coffee. No I didn‘t eat them all 😂 This was just what I needed!

More depth than expected, characters were fine, but way too predictable.

Oh this book 😍 I have to admit, it was not what I was expecting, but it's what I needed! It's a heavier read than I expected, but that's not a bad thing. I found myself rooting for the characters and wanted to step in and help when it was needed. What a great book to read to get in the giving, holiday spirit!

I struggled to rate this. I was mostly enjoying it up until near the end a stereotypical event occurred that just irritated me. Overall, it wasn‘t bad, but I have read better, similar novels. Hence the so-so rating.

Are all holiday romances set in the UK? Here is another, with young war widow Kate barely making ends meet. In her crap job selling Christmas trees for a department store, she meets a man she remembers from previous years, but this year he looks alone and sad. #romantsy

This is currently the only #sappyholidayromance on my TBR. I might get it read this year.

This is a cute little Christmas read. The chapters are written like an advent calendar you open. It‘s hard for me to read a chapter a day because it‘s so cute.
