I stayed up late last night reading this fun book with an assist from chocolate covered pretzels. Squirrel Girl is awesome and optimistic. She doesn't let baddies or low self-esteem get her down for long. The text messages with various Avengers was particularly humorous!

I recently watched an animated show called Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors where I got my first glimpse of Squirrel Girl. I found this middle grade book on Hoopla and it's a really fun read!

This was such a fun read! I‘ve loved the Squirrel Girl comics for a long time, so it was great to see that the novel reflected the spirit (& sense of humor) of the comics! I loved how Doreen interacted with Ana Sofia. The later texts & face-to-face conversations with different Avengers & other heroes had me rolling on the floor with laughter. I would definitely recommend it to comics fans!

while I haven‘t been able to lay my paws... I mean hands... on the graphic novels for Squirrel Girl a perusal of shelves at the library two weeks ago led me to this! After the novel edition of Lumber Janes I knew I had to try this out.

If you can‘t tell by this picture I love Squirrel Girl. She‘s my favorite superhero because 1) she‘s hilarious 2) she‘s so relatable 3) she‘s not sexualized in any way and has a realistic figure 4) she defeats villains in ways that don‘t include violence and 5) she‘s unbeatable!

I bought some gifts at Books A Million yesterday and accidentally left my keys. I didn't buy this book yesterday. I took my forgetting my keys as a sign that I should get it.😁

Fun. Silly. Sweet. I requested this from the library for my son thinking it was a graphic novel. It is simply a chapter book. Neither kid was interested in reading it. oops. I read it because I had taken up library staff time to transfer it to my branch. (Puns always intended.) It is a cute and positive book for kids - not meant for me. My guess is a kid would give it a higher rating.

AMAZING. definitely added to my list of favorites. It's quirky and fun, with footnotes, chat logs, and chapters from different characters' perspectives — including that of AN ACTUAL FREAKING SQUIRREL. I love it and recommend wholeheartedly 11/10 ❤️

This book was adorable. Squirrel Girl is witty, funny, sweet, and badass, causing her to climb to the top as one of my favorite super heroes. I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a quick and enjoyable read.

So I am not the biggest fan of the graphic Novel Squirrel girl, but I love her in the novel by Shannon Hale. I think she qualifies for the #kingofwishfulthinking. She is always hoping for the good, to be better than she is, and to help the world be a better place. We need more of her kind of optimism. #characters2017

Poor squirrel. They finally get on the deck, then spend hours trying to get off. It wishes it could fly about now.

Shannon Hale and Dean Hale's YA Marvel superhero tie-in novel (charmingly illustrated by Bruno Mangyoku) is a fun-filled delight from beginning to end with great humour (including some knowing winks at the Avengers universe), characters you can really root for (not least the perennially optimistic and indomitable Doreen) and more squirrels than you can shake an acorn at.
