Whoever wrote the blurb on the back of this book did not read the book. This was amazing. Parts of it (the bit with the wig) made me laugh out loud. Parts of it made my heart bleed tears.

Anyone who says time travel is impossible has never had to relive the memories of past traumas or mistakes.
It's impossible to let go of the people we love. Pieces of them remain embedded inside of us like shrapnel. Every breath causes those fragments to burrow through our muscles, nearer to our hearts. And we think the pain will kill us, but it won't. Eventually, scar tissue forms around those twisted splinters like cocoons. They remain part of us, but slowly hurt less.
Hi Litsy friends! It‘s been a while! I feel like my universe is shrinking too. 😔 send some hugs please.
I didn‘t like We Are the Ants, but I‘m giving this a chance. One book wouldn‘t define an author, right? Hopes high for this one!
My fourth SDH book, & I really loved this one. I'd probably rank it as my second favorite after We Are the Ants. As always a heartfelt story is matched with a bizarre premise (Ozzie is the only one who remembers his missing boyfriend & the universe is rapidly shrinking) that somehow work together beautifully. Great YA novel about relationships, mental health, & learning to stand on your own two feet.
TW: depression, self harm, mentions of rape
Best friends since 2nd grade, boyfriends since 8th, Ozzie & Tommy are inseparable until one day Tommy is gone. And he doesn‘t just disappear, his very existence ends. No one except Ozzie remembers him & the more he looks for Tommy, the more the universe shrinks & the more people forget because things stop existing. New friendships, secrets, & the search for what he‘s lost propels Ozzie through this powerful, heartbreaking YA book. Recommended.
Now reading...
I just finished reading this today. I found it intriguingly unpredictable, and I liked how he wrapped everything up at the end. #ya #librarylove #englishteacher
I can‘t sleep. Wheeee. But that means I am extra amused about the Easter egg for We Are the Ants in here.
Excuse me while I go cry in a corner internally because yet another of Hutchinson's novels has broken my stone cold heart into a thousand tiny pieces before putting it back together again.
I love Hutchinson's writing. It's always razor sharp, and he manages to use mind-boggling and weird concepts to explore extremely important issues like mental illness.
The main character's voice in this is pitch perfect. What more could you want? #ya
I'm loving this book. Thank you, @Megnogged for sending it to me in my Halloween goes postal package. ❤
I didn't think I'd be able to participate in #litsypartyofone this weekend because my dad and stepmom were going to visit. But seeing as how I'm laid up in bed with a bad cold, it looks like I'll have plenty of time to join in. I feel like 💩.
I've missed this community so much while life has been kind of crazy in the best way possible. Now that I'm settling in to my new city and job, I was thinking of organizing a read along/buddy read of a YA novel.
What do you think? If there's a particular YA book you want to read, let me know in the comments. #ya
I've been a little MIA for a while, but I'm finally moved into my place here in Phoenix. And I got an even better job offer today! Currently unpacking while snatching bits of this where I can. #ya

One challenge completed for this year! These are my final choices for the #ERMadLibs challenge, and they have been submitted. I can't wait to see the mad lib story that these create.

Omg, noooooooo. I borderline hated this book. And I'm so upset about it that I cannot even review it right now. Shaun David Hutchinson, why did you follow-up We Are the Ants with We Are Almost Exactly the Same Ants But With a Smaller Universe and A Boring Plot. I cannot.

I picked this book up just to flip through, but the bizarre world shrinking made me wonder how it ended. It is not a book I would normally choose, but once reading it I realized it would check off a few more challenge tasks for which I had not yet chosen a book (LGBTQ relationship and YA by LGBTQ author).
* This is a mature YA with diverse characters that also deserves trigger warnings.

When the author references his own previous book in his newest book 👌🏼
#LitsyAtoZ list is finally set! I tried my best to utilize books that I already have, to use this challenge as motivation to knock out the pile of arc's and books that are staring at me. Sometimes it just didn't match up (X, Y, Z?) so some books will just have to be new and exciting!
So excited about my list! Primarily because it forced me to prioritize my 2017 TBR 🤓

The universe is shrinking, but only Ozie realizes it's happening. Did it really take his boyfriend and everyone's memories of Tommy, or he is going crazy? Good coming of age story with a sci-fi twist, features diverse sexualities and races, including a gay MC and gender-fluid best friend, but this isn't a book where coming out is the big reveal. Releases in Feb, got through Jellybooks, which sends ebooks in exchange for tracking your reading data.
Got this eARC from Jellybooks. It was fantastic- I honestly couldn't put it down. Even though I didn't really like some of the characters (mostly Lua), the plot was interesting and incredibly suspenseful. And you know what? I did not see that ending coming, not at all.
That moment when an author drops one of his other books in there.
Literally could not put down this book! I stayed up to finish this in one day. Intense, emotional, fantastic. Now I find myself wanting to find something similar to read next and I don't know that there is anything like it. I highly recommend!,
