I don't usually pick up celebrity memoirs but this one crept in cos it is also about the farm.
Overall a heartfelt memoir about love, life and loss. They come across as genuine people. Also, they own the local sweet shop with their friends!

This book makes me so happy ❤️ I grew up watching oth and LOVING Hilarie Burton. Listening to her talk about her life was so comforting and I can‘t wait to listen to it every summer now 🥹❤️ I deeply enjoyed this one ❤️ Also, her husband is Jeffery Dean Morgan (Negan on Walking Dead) 🤤

This is perfect for fans of Hilarie Burton Morgan and her husband. They seem to live an idyllic life on their farm in a small town in New York. It honestly sounds amazing.

It was a sweet, little memoir. Not my favorite but as someone who once watched her hit teen drama as a teen myself, it was interesting to read how her life pivoted so drastically to small town farm life. Overall quick, decent read.

I *might* have chosen this celebrity memoir because I have a massive crush on her husband... but I can honestly say this was the best celebrity memoir that I've ever read. I know it's a cliché, but she and her hubby come across as a genuine people who just happen to act for a living. Move over, Kristen and Dax, I might have a new favourite celebrity couple. That is high praise coming from me.

SO GOOD. Soooo well written and so damn candid. I wasn‘t expecting either but I got both. Probably one of the best, if not the best, autobios I‘ve ever read. Totally 5 stars and going on my keep shelf.

1. Love a rural setting, doesn't matter what country it's in
2. No preference for gender. I'm even good with unpredictable or downright unpleasant at times.

I enjoy memoirs that feel like a conversation with an old friend over coffee. This was definitely one of those.

I was surprised by myself when I picked this up and even more surprised by how hard it was to stop listening and do other things. I was drawn to this because of my dream of moving to a farm (which will remain a dream because it would go well for no one in reality) but left it a fan of HBM, This was a lovely memoir about a farm certainly, but also the creation of a family and about a community and the joys and pains that came with it all.

And that didnt last long! I was gonna wait to order from Barnes but I JUST HAD TO! Love & Gelato was $5 with any purchase!

If I could give this book all the stars I would. I love Hilarie Burton Morgan more than words can explain. She‘s so relatable, down to earth, honest, kind, & straightforward. This book is a very raw & open look into her life & the family she‘s created not only with her husband & kids, but with her community. You‘ll laugh, you‘ll cry, you‘ll get angry. This book doesn‘t disappoint.

We have had quite a cool weekend so far in my little town, with a bit of rain, and then a touch of sun, to make everyone feel a little relieved. I'm kind of hoping for a warmer winter, with no snow, and temperatures, that we can all tolerate. Am I asking too much maybe?

I live in a small rural town, with nearly 3,000 people, and never was I happier to be there, during the recent global pandemic. It was a huge relief not to be caught up in the chaos of the cities.

Oh my goodness, Hilarie makes me want to go out and purchase a plot of land where I can support local shop owners, raise chickens, cows, donkeys, and maybe an alpaca or two. This is a fun read that celebrates finding your joy and living in it.

Just got it in the mail yesterday and I'm already done reading it, yes it was that good! It was an amazing story of her life as just a normal women going through hardships like everyone. Her book didn't even feel like I was reading, more like having a conversation. I loved the recipies she threw in at random points in the book. A lot of the book felt like she was talking about one thing, then jumping to another, which made it feel like talking

I loved this! A memoir about starting over, with a nice quiet life on a farm in rural NY. An easy read and I could see it play out in my head. It begins after One Tree Hill. There is a lot of nature, food, renovation, hands-in-the-earth in here, all things I love in memoirs. Hilarie talks candidly about her relationship with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, friendship, parenting, and other personal struggles and successes. Uplifting and delightful overall 5⭐️

#currentlyreading I‘ve never watched One Tree Hill, but I know of Hilarie Burton, the actress. I‘m SO loving this memoir. Just over halfway done!!

This reads like a Hallmark movie, her seemingly perfect life fell apart, then she met a great guy & fell in love instantly, they bought a farm in a quaint town w/a Christmas festival & live happily ever after. Yet its also refreshingly real. She's honest about their relationship, her difficulties getting pregnant, miscarriages & the depression that followed.
Hilarie said it best "Folks, this is a love letter. To a town. To a farm. To a man."

This was sooo good! Probably my fav book of 2020 so far. I related v closely w Hilarie in that she wanted to get out of the city and back to a small town snd nature. I loved every bit of this book. Everything in it felt genuine and real and def felt like a real person and not a celebrity. Comes out March 5.

Loving the chilly weather today so I came to read outside at Coffee Bean

Now more lazing around watching Mrs. Doubtfire and reading on my kindle.

Plus side of all the waiting you do at the dentist is having an ebook to read. Downside going to sleep for hopefully many hours and not being able to read.

Also I fell asleep reading this last night and then I had a dream about a coffee shop! Coincidence? I think not. ☕

My new goal. I am trying to get up at least an hour earlier to have more me time. Whether its to sit and think or to read or just to sit in peace. #2020goals
