dabbe And it seems like Eager is eager to throw shade on Mr. Emerson and others while seeming to be concerned with manners and gentility; what a hypocrite! Lavish and Charlotte, too! Only Mr. Beebe and the Emersons seems truly to be good people. I take it we're going to Rome soon, or somehow we're going to meet the Vyses. #ahtheintrigueofitall 10mo
Clare-Dragonfly Mr. Eager is the worst so far about implying a lot without saying anything at all! 10mo
mcctrish #mreagerisreallymrawful let‘s go to Rome and meet all the Vyses 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 although a drive with Mr Beebe does sound delightful, maybe he could go to Rome too 10mo
julieclair I can‘t wait to see who shows up in Rome! 🫣😂 10mo

mcctrish Mrs Jennings is STIRRING THE POT!!! She and Kitty are cut from the same cloth, seeing things where they aren‘t 🤣 maybe Georgiana will stop being dazzled by all her lights and see what‘s in front of her 🎶blinded by the light 🎶 10mo
TheAromaofBooks I do feel like this author has captured Mrs. Jennings PERFECTLY 😂 10mo

dabbe Now all we need is for Miss Crawford and Moreland to show up at Pemberley to make things REALLY interesting! 🤩🤣🤩 10mo
BarkingMadRead @dabbe that would be amazing!! #allthedrama 10mo

So I am totally spoiled by reading Regency romances... the idea that a *baronet* was aiming high had me going “huh?“ 😂

Cortg Yes! I grew up in New England for the most part. His writing feels like home. I‘m on vacay in RI and listening to a SK book. I‘ve chuckled quite a few times with this read and his NE jabs 😂 2y
BookDragonNotWorm 😂 I'm from Florida but my husband and I spent 8 years of our 30s living in New England - 5 of them quite near where SK lived (saw him at the grocery store a few times) and we said the same thing - there are definitely some creepy little towns and characters up there! 2y
Amiable @Cortg Where did you grow up? I know what you mean about his writing —there‘s a certain snark and attitude that makes me snicker at times because I can hear the voices of people I know in my head when I‘m reading it. 😀 2y

Amiable @BookDragonNotWorm So funny —my husband and I are literally in Florida right now for a friend‘s wedding. On the drive from Orlando to Vero Beach through the central part of the state we said the same thing about creepy towns and eccentric characters! 😄 2y
Cortg I moved to Massachusetts when I was 7 and lived there for 5 years, then Connecticut where I graduated high school. I went away to college and never returned. My parents sold the CT house a couple of years ago after 30+ years. 2y
BookDragonNotWorm That's so funny - & true! 😂 I live beachside in south Brevard County - just north of Vero Beach. I know some of those places you drove by. The scariest of them didn't even exist 20 years ago. They were founded on poverty & meth (& maybe inbreeding 😳). Keep your windows up and the doors locked. Seriously - in the last few years there's been an influx of petty crimes. The more people who move down here, the worse it gets. We're getting the dregs. 2y
Amiable @Cortg I‘m a Connecticut native who moved to Massachusetts for college and lived there for 12 years, then moved back to CT for my husband‘s job. I went to North Haven High School and now live in East Lyme. Where did your parents live? (edited) 2y
Amiable @BookDragonNotWorm Honestly, I‘m not a huge fan of Florida — I prefer our creepy brand of SK characters in NE! That‘s interesting about the towns we passed —I didn‘t realize it was all so new. It did surprise me to hear that Vero Beach was founded less than 100 years ago, too. I‘m so used to New England where everything is so old. I have furniture from my grandmother that‘s older than Vero Beach! 😀 2y
Cortg We lived in Sandy Hook and I graduated from Newtown High School. My daughter is in college now in Massachusetts so I‘m up this way several times a year! I went to school in NC, eventually moved to NoVA, and we‘re in MD now, slowly making our way back up the east coast. 2y
Amiable @Cortg Ha ha! My youngest son went to UMD and lives in Baltimore now, so we‘re down there a few times a year! I‘ll probably pass you on I-95. 😀 2y
Cortg Excellent! I‘m just south of B‘More by Fort Meade/NSA! 2y

Phew glad I took a test to figure out I was an Advocate ✊🏼✌🏻

Lots of LOL going on ....

megnews I‘m INFJ too. I learned the word advocate from my elementary school principal when he called me an advocate because I was arguing the injustice of several friends‘ punishment for a playground incident. I‘ll never forget! 3y
TheBookHippie @megnews I have a simliar experience in elementary school!! Go us. 💕 Advocate was not really a new word ever, I never did not know it. Hippie. Altruism, it kind of all blends together. (edited) 3y
AmyG Ha! At least the test works correctly. 3y

vlwelser Lol. Shocking. 3y
TheBookHippie @AmyG @Megabooks @vlwelser I feel so vilified 🤷🏽‍♀️ like DUH... 😬😅🤣🤦🏽‍♀️✊🏼 3y
zezeki I've taken this test a couple of times and always got a different result. And with every result I agreed to some extent. Not sure what that says about me. 😅 3y
TheBookHippie @zezeki 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am the exact same every single time ... the people are always shocked wait you‘re not an extrovert ?! Um no. Skills do not negate preference 🤍😬 3y
GingerAntics You, an advocate? I can‘t imagine. 😂🤣😂 I‘m a turbulent advocate which sounds horrible actually, but apparently isn‘t much different. 3y
TheBookHippie @GingerAntics ✊🏼✊🏼 power to us 3y
catiewithac I am the same type. No one understands that I need to spend hours and days away from people. 3y
GingerAntics ✊🏻✊🏻 apparently the A is more forward and the T is more behind the scenes, which makes so much sense to me. 3y
TheBookHippie @GingerAntics 😂 well yes that makes sense ! 3y
TheBookHippie @catiewithac I am so thankful you do. No one seems to get it!! 3y
GingerAntics @catiewithac yes!!! I swear, we can all find each other on line so obviously we‘re out there, but it seems no one else knows these people. I don‘t get it. 3y

I took in the Twilight Saga movie posters to my right. Bella looks so uninterested in Edward. Let‘s be honest, she would‘ve been better off alone—or with Alice.
