I have been busy today! #MermaidMarathonReads book #2 - The Tail of Emily Windsnap by Liz Kessler. This audiobook was very entertaining. The story is full of wonders, suspense, adventure, and mystery all centered around a 12-year old girl. This is a Net Galley book. For some reason, I read ebooks a lot slower than physical books. It took me 7 weeks to get through this one. The plot was kind of interesting. Miss Dupre‘s parents arranged a contest so she could choose a husband to stand by her and run her father‘s company. I know, right? This is a new version of the Peter Pan story starting with Wendy returning from Neverland without John and Michael. I listened to the audiobook and it was excellent. Peter comes back for Wendy‘s help…again. This book kind of makes the fairytale make sense. I can‘t say more without spoiling. Whew! I finished it! It‘s the last book for my Spring #BOOKED2021 - musical instrument on the cover. It was so good. I love the way music affected everything in their world and the pace was quick and exciting. Not sure what I expected from this book, but it wasn‘t what I got. The other Christina Lauren books I have read were funny and light-hearted, but this was deep - at least IMHO. You really got to hear how Tanner thought and felt and how Sebastian struggled with his sexuality. Third in the Cursebreakers series by Brigid Kemmerer! I did it! I finished another series…unless she‘s writing another one. This book had a lot more violence in parts, but Gray, Wren & Harper wove their way into my heart as always. #AUDIOJUNE book #3! I expected a book by Christina Lauren to be fun after reading In A Holidaze and this didn‘t disappoint. Hazel was a trip and I loved her. Josh was so cool, too. Okay, #LMPBC friends, I finished this one. Anxiously awaiting book 2! It was so good. I could feel the sea around me when she dove under.
