It‘s sooo hot. I tried reading in the bedroom with Lucille, as pictured here, but I‘ve had to migrate out to the hammock. +30 at 7 at night is way too hot. #lucilleproblems

So, I finally finished the book. It feels like it‘s been forever, but according to goodreads it‘s only been eight days. I loved it, as I knew I would. I‘m mildly disappointed that the ‘evil‘ characters are both often described as fat, and that the only woman with (much) agency over herself is again, cast as a villain. But, when you think about that it was written in the eighties, about the 1800‘s I‘m neither shocked or put off by it. ⬇️

I ordered this book for my partner, who you may remember was hospitalized back in November and at 24 years old was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. We had to dramatically change the way we ate, lived and a massive part of our lives. This book is supposed to be one of the best books you can read to help manage type 1 and I‘m excited for us to read it. #nonfiction #health #Lucilleproblems

And on to the next. My sister highly recommends this series and I‘m excited to read it. She is six years younger than I am and while I loved reading from an early age, it took her a little bit longer to become as obsessed with books as me. I really love sharing recommendations with her, it‘s such a good way to bond. Obviously Lucille feels that the book makes a great pillow and I should stop insisting that she not sit on it. #lucilleproblems #KAL

GUYS. I can‘t get enough of this book. I don‘t want to spoil it for my #seatosea friends, but I‘ll link my good reads review below (there aren‘t any spoilers in it either.) the story took a hard left that I wasn‘t expecting about 1/4 of the way in and I loved it so so so much. Can‘t wait to see what you think, and neither can Lucille the cat. 🌿💙🐈

I loved it. By turns alien, desolate and confusing, this novel is also filled with the warmth of humanity and the grandeur of glaciers. I will be seeking out more books by Le Guin, and I only wish I had discovered her sooner. #scifi #KAL #Tuxedocatsoflitsy #catsoflitsy

Man I forgot how addictive YA stories can be. Fell in love with a world and characters that I‘ve loved for almost as long as I‘ve loved fantasy. Managed to squeak one last book into 2017, and will be starting 2018 with the next book in the series. Since I dont have a picture, please enjoy Lucille. #catsoflitsy
