What a terrific series. My favorite of the series so far.

What a terrific series. My favorite of the series so far.
Back in January I started the 5th installment in #TheExpanse series and found this. (I'm reading book 6 now).
Finally getting back to The Expanse series 😊 I missed the crew from the Rocinante. 🚀
#BookNerd 🤓📚💙
I found it interesting that only now do we get these perspectives that we see in this book. Also holy crap it blows the status quo right outta the water.
And that's my fourth bingo... #BookSpinBingo
You know, when I complained about Cibola Burn being a little too much like the status quo not changing at all, I didn't expect the answer to be... well... this. Holy cow.
Wait... they're all splitting up for this book??? No. :| Not allowed.
(This isn't a spoiler, it happens in the first 50 pages.)
I have no cool about this book. It hits differently on a reread but the focus on consequences and showing the Roci crew directly (rather than through Jim) just leaves me with all the feelings every time. Plus the emphasis on our human need to relate to the world by creating narratives; and showing us the narratives these four create to cope.
"We're under martial law, so I can do very nearly whatever the fuck I want. Including march through your precious little ship there towing you along behind in a ball gag and lacy underwear. So your warrant bullshit? You can roll that up and fuck it."
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Chrisjen Avasarala, leader of Earth! ?????
Just finished book 5 today! 🎉🎊🎉 I love this series so much, I actually think it's one of my fave sci-fi series ever! 🚀❤ I love how intense and action packed each book is, as well as heartwarming and filled with excellent character development and found family dynamics! Each book has a big HOLY SHIT! moment that always takes me by surprise and has me racing to the end, and this was no exception! 💕📚💕
Another great entry in the series. This book is full of action, and the stakes couldn‘t be more dire. Really excited to tackle the next book (and for the final season of the show).
Just finished book five of the Expanse series (I forgot to post a review of book four). This one was exceptionally tense, as a rogue faction of the OPA takes action against the powers that be. Worse still, the crew of the Rocinante are separated when things get dire. Everyone is in serious jeopardy at some point. I couldn't stop when this one ended; the next book is downloaded and ready to go. What will happen next?
Just finished up book 5 of the Expanse series in anticipation of the upcoming TV season on Amazon. These books are just some of the best sci-fi story telling I've read in a long time. Every time I pick up the next book I have trouble putting it down.

Okay so I sped through the back half of this faster than I thought considering how long it took for me to read the first. I think this was my least favorite installment so far but the end picked up enough for me to be glad I read it. I‘m very interested in where this world is heading.

Slow week but I finished We which was excellent and got back to The Expanse. I‘m a little over halfway through and it definitely has picked up some from where I had abandoned it earlier.
Simon is offering me some moral support as I try to get back into The Expanse. I had to take a break from this installment because I just wasn‘t feeling it. Hopefully I can push past it and finish it quickly now that I‘ve had a few other books under my belt.

Finished three books this week and concluded two trilogies in my effort to finish the series I‘ve started. I‘ve also started Nemesis Games as part of that effort.
#WeeklyForecast
I‘m looking forward to the #BookSpin draw tomorrow and will start those next.
So, it‘s been a while since I‘ve shared the books I‘ve read. From earliest to most recent since last sharing, bottom up:
~ House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1)
~ Leviathan Wakes (The Expanse #1)
~ Scavenge The Stars (STS #1)
~ The Thousandth Floor (TTF #1)
~ Nevernight (NN #1)
~ Caliban‘s War (The Expanse #2)
~ Abaddon‘s Gate (The Expanse #3)
~ Cibola Burn (The Expanse 4)
—Currently Reading- Nemesis Games (The Expanse #5)
Everything about this book was in line with where this series has been going and can‘t be faulted for leaving the epic protomolecule behind for an equally epic inner planets storyline. This is 31/2 stories in one with super backstory development that, like I said doesn‘t feel out of place. Yet, like the Empire Strikes Back, when this comes to the end you really only feel set up for the next one- certainly not a bad thing at all!
After 16 hours of #audiobook goodness, I‘m back loving #TheExpanse. Book #4 seriously discouraged me, but this installment has restored my faith. Surprisingly, I liked how the crew of the Rocinante split up allowing us to learn more about some back stories. Need to get on some of the novellas too for more character development. Loving this world again so much that I‘m planning on finishing this series in 2020, assuming book #9 releases this year.
Started audiobook 5 of The Expanse two days ago. Liking it much more than #4 in series. Actually just started watching season 4 of show and I‘m optimistic that TV producers might improve upon the book...words I never really thought I‘d put out into the universe.
This series keeps getting better and better. The Expanse book 5. Wow. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had a fun essay to write for my Library Management class today! Pick a literary character that you consider to be a leader and discuss what qualities make them one. I chose James Holden from the Expanse series because he always rises to the occasion and handles tough decisions, even if he necessarily doesn't want to be the one in charge.
Which character would you guys choose and why? 💕📚
So I didn't quite make 24 hours, but I feel like my #24B4Monday #Readathon was a success anyway. I finished 2 graphics, 1 audio, and 3 novels. I also got halfway through Ernest Cline's Armada, which isn't pictured.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This series makes me so happy. The crew of the Rocinante feel like family to me, in this book maybe more than any of the others. I do think it's my favorite of the bunch so far. Just so good.

This series literally takes place #OutOfThisWorld 🚀 I‘ve finished the first 4 books and need to get back into it and read the next 4 😬 #SpringIntoReading 🐇

This is my favorite in the series so far! A thrilling ride from start to finish. It was great to have some characters make an appearance again.
My weekend #readathon totals were lower than I hoped for, just 8 hours 20 minutes for #24in48 and 12 hours 55 minutes for #24B4Monday. However, I did finish a couple of books, including this one, the best one yet of the 5 I‘ve read from the incredible Expanse series!
Many thanks to the readathon organizers! @24in48 @TheReadingMermaid @Andrew65
My pile of #CurrentReads all #Chunksters over 500 pages 😬 I‘m probably being a little overly ambitious with the chunksters this year but I‘m gonna go with it as long as the mood strikes #MoodyReader

Oh man, 5 books in and they still have me hooked!! I do sort of hate them for always going for the cliffhanger endings though - I learnt from my mistakes though and already have the next book here! Minerva is not impressed though. She doesn't want me to get up! #catsoflitsy
This book flew by. It took me longer than usual to finish it simply because I didn‘t have as much time to spend reading as I usually do, but the story seemed to fly by. Despite being over 500 pages, it felt short. If I had to describe it, I‘d say it‘s a mid-series reset. All of the rules have been changed, the pieces rearranged.
They have arrived! Books 5 and 6 in the Expanse series! So lovely! 😍 #bookmail
Returning to the Roci and her crew while I wait for other holds to come through. I think it‘s time they get a new quote for the cover, surely other famous authors enjoy this series and can provide a little blurb?
🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 I love this series so much. It just keeps getting better with each book. This one gives us a bit more background on each of the characters which is what I've been waiting for. So good. 💕
Reading the fifth Expanse book while battling for space in my girlfriend‘s lap. For now the dog is winning. Happy Easter!
Oh damn. I think this has made me love the crew of the Rocinante even more. And Chrissie. And Bobby.
It is 4am. Still not tired enough to sleep, so the #ItsSoLateItsEarly reading continues. Almost at the end, but chances are I'll start the next book before I'm sleepy.
Half way through and oh wow things are getting tense! It's almost enough to distract me from my pain.
Only had two hours sleep in the last 24hrs. Ugh. Thanks EDS3...
Time for #ItsSoLateItsEarly reading while hopefully I get tired enough to sleep.
This might just be the best book in the series so far! So personal and intimate, a real close look at the lives of the crew of the Rocinate.
The #ItsSoLateItsEarly reading continues...
Favourite perfume sprayed into the air (Snow Fairy by Lush if you're interested). Battery powered candle on my bed with me. Crochet blanket that I made a few years ago on me and fingerless gloves on my hands.
Ladies, gentlemen, and others, it is time for #ItsSoLateItsEarly reading.
Just some #ItsSoLateItsEarly reading. I'm in too much pain to sleep, but at least I have books as a distraction.
Most disappointing #bookmail ever. WTF, man, WTF. What happened to book 5? Why do publishers do this? It's just so aesthetically unpleasant. I could get over the title to author to title switch but the size change is just awful. And they are all about the same number of pages so that's not the issue.
