Wow! I could not put this down. 2 women from different walks of life are desperate to escape their circumstances. They meet at the airport and exchange airplane tickets in hope of each disappearing. Told from both points of view, you don‘t know till the very end whether one of them dies in a plane crash or not. Some scenes were so intense I‘d have to walk away for a minute, but I couldn‘t stay away.

Good action from start to end. You will enjoy

A whim pick from Prime and it was a lot better than I expected. My first Julie Clark book and definitely not my last. The story has all the elements that could have lead to cliche women's fiction tropes but they did not happen. Instead, the story is an intersection of two lives at their critical breaking points, spinning off from one another to escape their realities and hopefully survive.

A slow burn with a few good twists! Claire, the wife of an abusive soon to be senator and Eva, a women on the run from a dark occupation collide in this story with each other trading plane tickets to escape their respective lives. Sadly their idea does not go as planned.

Thriller about two women who trade tickets at the airport in order to escape their lives. Suspenseful and kept me guessing. Quick read.

2023. Enjoyed this book

Such a wonderfully crafted thriller! This was a story of Clair Cook and Eva James. Clair is escaping from her abusive, and widely known husband. At the airport, she crosses paths with Eva who is in an equally dire predicament. They switch tickets, and Clair soon realizes she isn‘t any safer seeking refuge far away from home. The novel unravels quickly, and you will be consumed by sheer panic as you read about both women trying to survive 😮‍💨

Started this book last night, and it‘s already giving me anxiety. Claire, the wife of an abusive politician is planning her disappearance. She‘s going through great lengths to get away from her domineering husband. I‘m already at the edge of my seat😮‍💨

Also, it‘s a sunny 32 degrees in Minnesota today ☀️ being born in California, I never thought I‘d see the day where I considered 32 degrees to be pleasant weather 😂

2 women 1 airport 1 big decision

Suspenseful thriller about two women helping each other flee their pasts. Though very character-driven, this kept me on the edge of my seat and I was wholly invested in Claire and Eva‘s stories. It was also moving at times with its themes of female friendship and empowerment. Though a little implausible, Clark‘s writing had my stomach in knots and my heart dropping as I followed these smart and resourceful women fight for the lives they want. 4⭐️

First readathon of the year, and I‘m going hard. This is a mix of #lmpbc, #bookspin, #alspine, and a “morbidly curious” non-fiction book group I belong to. It‘s rainy and gloomy here in the PNW for the foreseeable future, so hoping for ample time to cozy up and knock out some reading goals! #joyousjanuary

I read this as part of #GroupM for #LMPBC. I love this club because I read things I otherwise would not have picked up. Suspenseful story with two female protagonists - each on their own journey of escape and rising from bad circumstances. @BeckyWithTheGoodBooks @HufflepuffGirl90 @suvata @TheBookHippie

Two strange women running from something exchange tickets and identities in an airport. It is suspenseful. But Clark tries so hard to convince us to empathize with Eva by trying to convince us she felt she had no other choice than to choose an unethical life of crime (sounds dramatic but trying not to spoil it) that it is off-putting. It is total BS that she had no other options, and she would have been more sympathetic if she had just been ⬇️

I have a new book shelf! It is just holding my coloring stuff right now. It‘s time to buy more books.

A good thriller with interesting twists. I really enjoyed reading this one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one has been on my holds from Libby for sooo long. Finally read it and it is GREAT!!! Highly recommend- 2 women in various states of desperate situations, who more or less trade places. Returning it on Libby now, pick it up

There were so many people that told me this was SO GOOD, but honestly, it fell short for me. It just didn't hold my interest or pull me in quite as I had hoped. On the plus side I found quite a few words.

#Audiobaking with this thriller for book club. So far this one is good and I have questions that I assume will be answered? I am not seeing where this is going and reviews say the ending is surprising and satisfying.

This was a very different kind of thriller and I really liked it! It was a super fast read too.

This week! Holy fuzzballs didn‘t last forever. This twisty thriller was all my brain could handle. Sure it was silly at times, but the payoff was worth it in the end.

The beginning and end of the novel are so engaging. The middle lagged quite a bit for me, I was much more interested in one of the double narratives than the other, causing me to just give up and skim half of the novel until the time I‘d reached the end when it pulled me back. Still a pick, but almost a so-so for me.

A nice, quick read that I finished poolside on my lunch hour today. The story was interesting. A couple things I saw coming but a few twists - particularly at the end - I didn‘t. The idea of two women swapping tickets in an airport was definitely interesting

The ending of this story was well worth the buildup. I truly fell in love with Eva's character, and the friendship she builds with Liz is beautiful. The pacing was a little slower than what I was hoping for, but by the end, and knowing how everything connects, it pays off.

Wow. That was some kind of roller coaster of a book.

Braving the pollen to sit outside.

Best thing about reading a really good book is finding a new favorite author! Claire wants to escape her abusive husband the only way is to disappear get a new identity! Eva wants to run away from a life she can‘t believe she has! They meet at an airport and exchange tickets one plane makes it the other crashes only problem is her face is all over the news and on magazines how long can she really stay hidden the twist so well planned out🌟🌟🌟🌟

Currently reading this book before bed and I‘m loving it so far!!

September #DoubleSpin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a quick paced read. I enjoyed the multiple storylines, though some components towards the end were a little too perfect.

I won this in a Goodreads giveaway a while back…also my September Doublespin. Better late than never!
