Just received the paperback of “King of Pawns” and I love the back cover. It‘s exactly how I pictured Alexander Orlovsky. The son of an elite KGB officer with the mind of a chess master, the skills of a commando, and the looks of a playboy. Also, the killer behind the series of killings of prominent mafia bosses that swept East Europe in 2005. My favorite historical-dark romance-spy fiction for this year.

pickI‘m as excited as a dog trying to get out of a car about this book. The ending was shocking. The chess design of this novel had a gut-level emotional appeal and the power to entice readers! Very unique! There is no other spy series with such a human main character, such realistic depiction of the spy life, and such find handling of action sequences. Can‘t wait for Book 2 of the series
