I adore books with an eclectic group of characters brought together to form amazing friendships. All flawed and wonderfully human, these characters will make you laugh, cry, whoop for joy and want to start a garden.
The story follows Lillian, a widow with two daughters, on her journey moving forward, remembering to live again, and finding balance between honoring the past and being in the now. It's beautifully written and a gem of a book. 4.5 ⭐️
An overlooked piece of WWII history brought to life through four different fictional characters. The author does a wonderful job of capturing the harsh, stark reality of the human spirit trying to survive while also giving beautifully poignant moments showing there is always goodness, kindness, love and selflessness in the world. This book has characters you will love and hate and brings the reality of inhumanness which permeates society in war.

Let's discuss Aelin vs. Manon. And the boys Chaol/Dorian/ Ronan. still team Chaol. He's not good for Aelin. He wants so hard to be honorable yet protect his friends. He like a little lost puppy. I love Manon. She's written to be evil,a foe, but through out the books there is always an underlying tone of nature/nurture and choices. I love her complexity, struggle to decide where she falls and loyalty to the 13. Plus Abraxos. 🖤 that little wyvern
I love love love this book!!!! It's the perfect book for the mystery loving bibliophile. It's beautifully written. The story grips you from the start. I didn't see the twists and turns coming. I don't want to spoil it. Just read it!!!! Now

I adored this book which is a mix of magical realism and fantasy. It's loosely based off of Romeo and Juliet, has a wonderful cast of characters and some amazing quotes. I loved most was the relationships. How we have a tendency to idolize parents when we are younger only to realize they too are people. People who live, love and make mistakes. I also enjoyed the best friend angle and how your first 'true love' can be/is your BF. This is a 4.5 ⭐️

Hey awesome book nerds 🤓
Who needs Starbucks or a fancy restaurant to make a unicorn shake 🦄 Ummmmm.....maybe me. I didn't think it would melt or the two colors run together so quick. It still tasted delicious which is the best part 😉 But it was more yellow and blue and the whip cream was fluffier before I got in the library. Oh well. Live and learn

Hey awesome book nerds 🤓
I'm so excited to start The Crowns of Croswald. This debut novel releases July 21st.
Ivy, the heroine, is described as part Cinderella, part Harry Potter and part Percy Jackson. Add in magic, mysterious gems and an Evil Queen...sign me up baby. Plus this cover is freakin' gorgeous!! .

I'm not a huge biography reader, yet I've read 2 in the last month. I enjoyed this one but not as much as I thought I would. Lauren is funny and there are some nice #GG memories. But it wasn't fabulous. A lot of it seemed pretty 'surfacey' (yes I make up my own words). I don't expect soul bearing but I just didn't connect. Oh well 🤷🏻♀️
Are you a GG fan? If so, fav characters or moments? If not, what show do you fangirl/boy over?

I adore books with uncut pages. The beauty of imperfection.
I loved this book. While it's billed as a mystery (I didn't see who 'did it' coming) it more a reflection on growing up, perspective, relationships and how life, big and small events effect who we are and who we want to be. It's wonderfully written in the first person and draws you in
It's going out in the mail today to the #whodunitbymail gang

Wuthering Heights. I adore this book. It seems to be one of those you either love or hate. No in between. I don't think this is a romantic story. What I love is the wildness of the writing and the characters. The depth of emotion (be it hate) you feel for the characters. The moors. The redemption of character found in future generations.
Your thoughts? Let's discuss (picture SNL coffee talk😉)

Love and Gelato. Such a cute book for #summerreading
Italy. Young love. Gelato. But also learning parents have secrets, and lives before kiddos come. They have/had hopes and dreams which change as they grow and when they become parents. I thought this book would be predictable, but it had some surprises and adorable characters. It is perfect for summer!!
I give it 3.75-4 stars ✨
This book has a gorgeous cover and I really wanted to love the story, but 🤷🏻♀️ meh.
Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it, but it didn't grip me. I didn't love it. There are some wonderful themes, being a woman in a man's world, but at times I found the writing choppy. The story didn't flow. It fell flat in some places and rushed in others. Plus...yet another series...technically duology. Can't I get a good stand alone anymore?
3.25 stars
Anyone else a poetry geek? I love it. I know some get intimidated by it, but the wonderful thing about great poetry is it speaks to people in different ways. It's a wonderful creative outlet. You can follow rules for specific types of poems or go free form. It can evoke powerful emotion or evocative imagery with a few mesmerizing strands.

The universe-fate-is cruel and random. Things happen for many reasons. Things happen for no reason. To shoulder the burden of the universe's caprice is too much for anyone. ~ Goodbye Days
If you haven't read #jeffzentner do it now! After just two books he's a must buy author. Both of these are 5 🌟. He takes you on a roller coaster of emotions with wonderfully flawed characters who tug at your heart strings. You'll laugh. You'll cry. Have tissues
It's here, it's here!!! Oh how I love this box 💖 It's interactive. You open the gifts on the designated pages and they enhance/go with the book. Coolest box I've ever gotten. So excited for this one as well!!!

Happy release day
This book looks at how tragedy effects relationships. I will admit, it was hard for me to read because of similarities to my own life. Nicole does a wonderful job of writing people's emotions. The 'real life' conversations. The cliches and platitudes and the reactions one really wants to have to them.
This book isn't high action or fantasy, it's an in depth look at human relationships, emotions and coming to terms with tragedy.
This is one of those books you hope (know) will be considered a #classic Beautifully written. Wonderfully complex, flawed characters. The personification of death is so poignant. I don't give out 5 🌟 ratings often. This is one.

We all know how this story ends. I mean hello, it's a Cinderella #retelling 😉
This is a cute, fun, light summer read. One to enjoy while sitting by the pool or out in the hammock. What I really loved in this story was all the fandom references. Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR, Firefly. So many great fandom references. If you are a scyfy geek, a Fangirl/boy and you want a enjoyable summer read. Then hop in the food truck with Elle and go for a ride.
'But here's the thing about crazy: It. Wants. Out.' ~ Anna Kendrick
I was in a reading slump all week. Not motivated to read, which is sooooo not like me. Then I got a notification that this little gem 💎 had shown up at the library (I had it on hold). Her sense of humor was just what I needed. Plus. I totally relate. Choir nerd. Theatre minor. Yup. the quote above. So much YES! My crazy always wants out!!! 😜

Hero or villain? complexity makes a character truly memorable, relatable and ultimately 'extraordinary'. The duplicity of Snape is so utterly fascinating. Yes, Snape has moments of saving Harry. But is it because he's a hero, or because he feels a life debt to James? Yes, Snape loved Lily....always. But not Harry. Villain? Hero? It's a blurred line. What he was, was a wonderfully flawed, pained human.
I adore this book so much and the cover is to die for. Good book and hiking. Life is good.

Once again #rickriordan delivers. Loving this book!
