Packed my reading glasses in my checked baggage by mistake. So just staring out of the window this time. Bogota was a fun vibrant city. Now back to reading the book. Lots of things happening all over the map.

I really love how morally grey characters are. Maquin haven't got enough chapters! At the beginning of the book there were but then there weren't. I wasn't that invested in every pov.

This was again a dark story so not the easiest book to read. I would have loved to have a bit more action, like the previous book had.

This was again an epic book and worth reading.

Sweetkokoro Not sure if you know but you have a few mixups, A Time of Blood is actually part of the follow up series to the other two books, and it‘s book 2 of that series. The Faithful and the Fallen series is : Malice (1), Ruin(2), Valor(3) and Wrath(4), the follow up series is Of Blood and Bone and consists of : A Time of Dread(1), A Time of Blood(2), and A Time of Courage(3). I‘m still working my way through the first series but love it! 5y

I'll tell ya what - everyday this week has been a double-shift except for today, I only work this evening. Finally, this afternoon I got some reading time in with this bad boy.

I have tomorrow off, then Christmas Eve is another double-shift, Christmas day off, then back to work boxing day.

The burnout is real. 🙈

The good news - tomorrow I finally get to see Star Wars. The other good news...this book is friggen fantastic! 🤘

night_shift All that work! 😔 relax while you can! I totally understand the burnout. I work 12 hour shifts every shift. This week is my vacation, I saved up half the year to have enough time 😭 5y

I had books to take to the used bookstore for trade, plus a coupon, plus their January buy one, get one 1/2 off sale. Mom and I got all of these for less than $30. Today is a good day. 😂 #bookhaul

Onto book 3...still waiting for the plot to really take off. There are lots of battles and journeying in this series. I'm charmed by the characters, but getting juuust a tad impatient for something to really happen.
