My #HolidayMovie of Christmas Day itself was The Spirit of Christmas about an inn haunted by a ghost of a Prohibition rum runner who becomes corporeal for 12 days each year. It was actually a really good film.

Hello, friends! I had an idea today, inspired by the beautiful thoughtfulness of @JenP . I have a friend who's in the process of fostering to adopt two little girls. They've been visiting the library often, but they don't own any children's books at all. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me in giving them books for Christmas to build their family collection. If people are interested, I will figure out how to make it work 👇🏼

Long week, both at work and home. Went to get food for a stew tomorrow (❄️❄️ predicted, our first if it comes!) This picture from the grocery store parking lot gave me pause and filled my heart. I missed the town tree lighting this year so had not seen the tree all dressed up. Have not had time to get our tree up yet, so this felt Christmasy.🎄🎄Love the purple/blue tones.
This is not strictly book-related but after all the sh** that happened in the world yesterday (including a presumed terrorist attack on a Christmas market here in Germany), I feel the need to post something beautiful.
