The eagerly anticipated companion to David LevithansNew York Times bestsellerEvery Day In this enthralling companion to his New York Times bestseller Every Day, David Levithan (co-author ofWill Grayson, Will Graysonwith John Green)tells Rhiannons side of the story as she seeks to discover the truth about love and how it can change you. Every day is the same for Rhiannon. She has accepted her life, convinced herself that she deserves her distant, temperamental boyfriend, Justin, even established guidelines by which to live: Dont be too needy. Avoid upsetting him. Never get your hopes up. Until the morning everything changes. Justin seems to see her, to want to be with her for the first time, and they share a perfect daya perfect day Justin doesnt remember the next morning. The first in the series, Every Day is first person A. This one, the second of the series, is the same story but first person Rhiannon. I immediately started Someday, the third audiobook in the series, and it changes point of view each chapter with A, Rhiannon, and others. I‘m nine chapters in and enjoying it.

I think this book was slightly boring to me. It shows A‘s story in another perspective. After reading it, I understand more about Rihannon and how she thinks. How she feels about Justin, how she feels about A etc. Overall, I would rate this book 6/10.

I thought this was a good book but didn‘t give me the excitement as Every Day did. However, I wanted to read through it to get to the third book in the series so I didn‘t miss details of Rhiannon‘s experience. I just didn‘t feel like I got a different understanding of her after finishing the book than when I started.

I should have known better! I usually don‘t like “the other side of the story” books. I almost bailed on it, but decided to finish it up.

As usual, I said I would stick to a list of books I was going to read in that particular order. I then completely tossed that out the window by finding something I needed to read RIGHT THIS SECOND.

BookishMarginalia I do that too! 6y
bookworm0812 And of course it doesn't help that I read the first one months ago, so now I'm trying to read the second part and remember who was who. 😂 6y

Happy Halloween everyone!

I finished this one last night. I was skeptical because I usually don‘t like sequels told by the other person. It‘s like the same book, but from the perspective of the other person. This was ok in that it was a good look at Rhiannon‘s side of the story and added a lot more to her character. However it followed the first book a little to much for my liking though.

julesG Lovely pictures. Although, I think your unicorn didn't want its picture taken. 😉 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa Such an adorably tired princess unicorn 🦄! 6y
LibrarianJen @julesG @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I pulled out my phone to take a picture and she went into melt down mode. She loves playing dress up but she never lets me take her picture. 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @LibrarianJen My nephew is 19 now, and the BEST picture we have of him from Halloween as a child is one where he is completely melting down, crying, and a sad Dalmatian.😂 6y

This one wasn‘t quite as good as the first book. I did end up enjoying it some but really struggled with the Justin character.

Sequel to "Every Day" is really good ? This time we get the story from Rhiannon's point of view. Too bad that book 3 comes out in October because I really wanna know what happens next.

I really enjoyed this and Every Day (read the ebook version). If you want to read something that will make you question your moral compass and what you'd so in character's places, this is a good one. The two books act as mirrors to each other where book 1 is in A's POV and this is in Rhiannon's.

Has anyone read this one? Want to know if it‘s worth it to read the same story from Rhiannon‘s POV or if Every Day was enough.

Lindy I have been wondering the same thing. Littens, please include me in your reply. Thanks! 7y

This book is not what I expected! I thought that it would be about how to get out of an abusive relationship, but it's actually about ignoring how people look on the outside, and just looking on the inside. Now I need to read Every Day! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of five, just because of the ending 😊

Zelma Wow, we had a very different experience with this book. I despised it! Every Day is amazing and wonderful and this one almost ruined it for me. I hope you enjoy the other title. (Isn't that the great thing about books? We all come away with such unique experiences.) 8y
Pandyfish @Zelma why didn't you enjoy Another Day? I love hearing all the different views of a book:) Maybe if I read Every Day first, I wouldn't like Another Day... 8y
Zelma @Pandyfish I loved A's story so much and Another Day put it on the back burner by focusing on Rhiannon. A came off as almost stalkerish or at least clingy, and didn't feel nearly as complex and interesting as in Every Day. I also really didn't care for Rhiannon as a character and hated spending a whole book in her head. Plus, Every Day seems like a standalone novel, whereas Another Day hints at a series. I liked it as a standalone. (edited) 8y
Pandyfish @Zelma I can see that. Now I really want to read Every Day! 8y

"We swing like that, perfectly even, for about twenty seconds. Then we start to pull apart, the difference in our weight, or in our strength, or in the angle of our bodies--something about our bodies--preventing us from continuing like that forever."

So subtly symbolic.? Their lives can swing together, close enough to touch, but there's always something about their bodies--something about how A can't stay in one body--that breaks their harmony.

I really liked this book, just like Every Day. It was very interesting to hear the story from Rihannons POV, although I loved the different people A "lived in". I think that this story (both books) is important and I learnedly lot!

I picked it up because I thought it was Every Day and did not look at the cover for too long. Well, I borrowed Every Day from a friend, and then went on to read this because I had bought it. I was so disappointed! It is very similar and the new information is not really great. haven't finished it.

Khadeja I felt the same way, I hated that the author didn't stop with Every Day only. It would've been perfect for a standalone. But the last line in the second book makes sense after I've heard there's a third book. Still not sure gonna read it. 8y
innianna @Khadeja I totally agree! It would've been a perfectly fine standalone book 8y

Even thought this touches on important subjects such as gender, sexuality and body image; it was too similar to Every Day. Just stick with the original.

RyeAnnUh Well yea. It's just supposed to be every day from the girls perspective. I haven't read it yet but that is what I've read about it 9y
