I loved this series, I didn‘t always know what was happening but I enjoyed the journey.

That's it! I'm callin' it! There's a strong possibility I'll read more before the clock strikes midnight (Pacific time), but little chance I'll finish a book, so we'll go with the stats as they stand at this moment. I think I'll be tracking more about my reading in 2023 and will try reading at a different ratio for certain book lengths/genres. More experiment than resolution. Happy New Year's! 🎆

Continues to be epic, in a way that would be hard to rave about without spoiling it. I think I have a soft spot for feminist yet nostalgic coming of age tales set amidst absolutely bat shit sci fi action.

So much great art to be found in graphic novels. Can't you just see it on a pop art gallery wall: "Girl in Time Machine" ?

Managed to read my #doublespin, but not my #bookspin this month. Still, I'm pleased with how much I've finished this month.

In this third book the girls are thrown way way back in time. There‘s ancient life, unknown beasts, and time holes that shoot out futuristic objects. How are they going to get out of this one? That‘s the same question I ask myself after each book. I‘m so impressed by this fictional (s)quad. #graphicnovel

I was excited to make it to book 100 today when I finished Volume 2 of Paper Girls. Except, when I put it into my excel spreadsheet, I realized it was only 99! I couldn‘t not get to 100, so luckily, I had the next Paper Girls volume on hand. This makes 100! 🎉🎉. Really loving this series.

Every second I spent with these girls was amazing. I love everything, the story, the art, the way we get to travel through time.

I've said it before, but I'm saying it again: Brian K. Vaughan is brilliant and I'm totally in love with his imagination! 😍

This volume pretty much stayed with the girls within this time trip and very little of interest happened in my opinion but then again who knows - This could just be build up so while it isn't my favorite so far it's still a solid read that showcases some sci-fi and fantasy elements and trickled in are some growing pains.⁠

This series is as good as I remembered! I re-read 1 & 2 and read 3...super quick, enjoyable reads... especially for those of us who were also kids in the 80s! Hopefully I can borrow 4, 5, and 6 soon and finish the story.

Got this next installment at a Black Friday sale (they didn‘t have more :( so that made me a sa‘ad panda) but anyway I‘m sure I can pick up 4 soon ;)

These just keep getting even more weird.

This series is so interesting in that I am now 3 volumes in and am still not exactly sure what is going on. Amazingly, that is what compels me to read the next one. With most books, this is what would make me STOP reading, but there is something so compelling about the artwork and the time travel plot that keeps me coming back!

I‘m still not sure how I feel about this series... I think I like it? 😂

I find this series quite enjoyable, albeit a little confusing - although I think it‘s supposed to be that way. This volume gets another pick from me, although I didn‘t enjoy it as much as the last two. I just requested the next two volumes from the library! 4⭐️

This series is so much fun. This volume was no exception. Still loving all the kick-ass women. This volume takes us way back in time, and it mostly worked.It‘s not as much fun as times that I recognize, but still a good time. I wonder how it will tie into the overall plot?

As with all of them so far, this series is very visual and bright. I like how well the colors and drawings come together. I‘m really not fully understanding the concept behind the storyline, but I‘m sticking with it til the end I guess.

3 stars and just on the cusp between “pick” and “so-so”.

Still don't exactly know what's going on, but it's so pretty and I like these girls.

Still a pick but I got a little mired in this one. I'm ready to start getting answers about some of the things rather than just being flung from one adventure to the next (though some of that could come from the fact that I read volumes 1-3 back to back and do not have 4 at hand to satisfy).

This series is wild! It‘s got a great balance of weirdness and real life issues. So much fun! 🤩

It has been a while since I read the last volume, but this was worth the wait. I continue to love the cracks in time (and space?) but honestly would kill for one of those translator necklaces in real life.

Oh, 1980s references, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways—Hitchhiker‘s Guide to the Galaxy, Radio Shack, Clan of the Cave Bear, MacGyver, and more. The story continues with adventure, time travel, large (and very scary) beasts, gadgets, narrow escapes, new revelations, and more. Another great outing in a series that just keeps getting better and better. This is a definite pick and I can‘t wait to see where the story goes next. So fun!

Yep, pretty sure by seven grade I had read The Hitchhiker‘s Guide to the Galaxy too.

This volume was very well contained. It added to the story without being totally off the wall (there was still time travel and giant sloths, don‘t worry).

I‘m in Saint Paul for a conference and these are the books I packed for hotel/airplane reading. I think I chose well!
