I really enjoyed this! I actually wanted to read the original series first but couldn't get into it. However, this one hooked me right off the bat.
I just need to do something (read: work 🙄), but I will immediately start book 2 after.
Re read. This book took way longer to read then i thought it would. Sits at about 4⭐️
I liked this book a lot! The beginning was slow but I liked the book towards the ending. 4/5⭐️
“Let me show you the stars.“ - Jase Ballenger
Good storyline, but could use more depth in the love story
This book was like a cake with to much icing. It looks AMAZING. it is AMAZING. It finishes and I want more.
I do want tomorrows with you. I want a lifetime of tomorrows.
Trying to read but sisters came to invade my room and my peace.
Are you like me where when you find an author you like you read all of their books before moving on?
This next series by Pearson is set in the same Remnant world only 6 years after the last book so you have many of the old characters. But this story focuses on two new ones, Kazi and Jase, who are basically playing a game of cat and mouse filled with secrets, lies and more betrayals.
Still loving the Ancients story lines and settings.
Kazi is sent to spy on the new king Jase, then they get kidnapped together and have to rely on each other to make it back. Once back, the feelings they have for each other now make it hard to be the spy she was supposed to be and the new king he needs to be. Who is the villian here? Or is there something bigger going on? Kazi is a new fave female heroine, she‘s so badass.
Tonight‘s #motherdaughterread we‘ve all had a quiet day reading our Christmas books 📚
@Cathythoughts the one on the right is my meaty blockbuster 😁
Finay getting some down time and getting some swaps opened up!
Thank you SO much for this #Jolabokaflod gift @CuriousG 😍 I'm surviving off chocolate and coffee right now so I've been into the treats 🤣 I love me some sweet pretzels and those mint chocolates are amazing! I am a sucker for mint. The book is on point too!
Hope you had a great holiday!!
@MaleficentBookDragon
After a bit of a slow start, I started cursing anytime work interrupted my reading time… well done.
Picked this one up in a buy one get one 50% off because I figured why not. Turned out to be a great adventure fantasy read and I will now have to sort out finding book two in the series.
4.5/5 I was in a reading slump but then I read this and now I‘m on a roll 😎. I didn‘t expect both of them to have so many secrets reviled so fast but I‘m in love with both jase and kazi. Fav book couple beside Jude and Cardan cause no one can beat them.
Wow, I breezed right through this book. An excellent combination of enemies, lovers, following your heart vs. following duty— lots of action, adventure, love, and shock. It reminded me a bit of “An Ember in the Ashes” meets the “Crown of Midnight” (except this was way better than the latter). Definitely give it a read if you‘re into high fantasy adventure w/ some romance (nothing too raunchy). 9.5/10
Went to a graduation yesterday which means that today I get to enjoy all the time with my book.
Truly amazing! Loved this spin off series of THE REMNANT CHRONICLES. Can‘t wait to get my hands on the next book!
Finally got my hands on this! Heard so much about it! 😬
I was waffling between rating this a pick versus so-so for this book. I loved the concept and the awesome world the author built. I was so intrigued by the history and mythos of this world and was dying to know more. So I found myself getting frustrated that it wasn‘t further elaborated upon. There was a lot more focus on the romance of the story, which was good but just a bit too much for me. I‘m not sure if I‘m willing to commit to the second.
So many essay to grade, but my souls needs a good book. Anyone else feeling exhausted??
I‘m still trying to sort through my thoughts on this book. On one hand it had some very good strong characters both male and female and a good message of seeing the world from a different perspective or whatever. And it was an enjoyable enough read. However, it somehow fell flat somewhere? I guess my biggest problem was the predictable plot and romance. It felt like the characters were pushed together and that is never a good sign.
Ahahaha this is feelings put into words (as all good books should);)
1. Tagged book is current but right behind it I have Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Caraval
2. Moon Eyes- I'm going off the idea that titles invoke certain moods of the story
3. Jasmine because it smells so freaking good and to this day I'm still hunting for a Jasmine scented candle
#weekendreads
I've been waiting for Friday since Monday! It's been a loooong week
1. Fever series. Never tire of it.
2. Nope. It's a long weekend though so I'm sure I'll find something
3. Discovered this with #newyearwhodis and LOVED it! Dying for the next book
4. Not a trick but I retain a LOT of useless facts. Mostly about celebrities. So much useless information 🤔
5. 🖐🖐🖐🖐🖐

📖 Dance of Thieves
🎬 A Knight's Tale
🎶 Round and Round - Ratt
My word-picture association isn't romantic at all 😂
#manicmonday @JoScho
So my plan for the night was to enjoy a nice, long #bookandbath but apparently (I found out too late) we have NO HOT WATER. Wait and see if it was just a$$hole kids emptying the tank or if there is a problem I guess. In the meantime, I guess I'll wrap up on the couch with a #bookandblanket instead 😑
At least the book is a good one

I only got to 4 books on the list but they were great ones! I fully intend to continue all the series. There are also a few of the books I didn't get to that I am still looking forward to reading. Tagged book is next!
You always pick great matches @monalyisha Thanks for being your kick ass self! Look forward to next time 😊
@InBooksILive Thanks for the awesome list! I found some new favorite authors 👍
So excited to begin this one while I wait on my order of new books to be delivered. This cover gives me Caraval vibes, does it you? ❤️
Omg this book! I am in love with this book! This was my first book by Mary but as I read Dance of Thieves, I very quickly became a huge fan! I love her writing process, I love how the stories come to her & the characters write the books. Her writing is beautiful & I was hooked the whole way! Every single one of the huge cast of characters has their own personalities, are relatable in some way & have their special roles to play to the story.
5 🌟
I loved this. I loved the expansion of the world. And the new characters, and seeing the old characters. I need book 2 now.
Started this yesterday, ready to get stuck in ❤️📚
This was a great start to a new series, set in one of my favorite literary worlds. I enjoyed sneak peeks into the lives of the characters of The Remnant Chronicles, but loved this cast of new characters. This is my favorite kind of fantasy. Adventure, bad ass heroines, intrigue and kissing.
#bookaweek @TheReadingMermaid
Ugh! So🙌damn🙌good🙌 it's just like the vibes of Remnant Chronicles and the details thrown in about the world from the trilogy just hit me in the feels! Ugh I need the sequel!
A library hold came in, and so I am already changing up my #bookaweek stack!
This cover has me shook! So excited to jump back into the world of the Remnant Chronicles!
My #septemberTBR is really just my library hold list.
It is bliss to return to the Remnant Chronicles world. Of course, I wished it was another installment of the original characters but they are in there (briefly) so you do get a very small amount of post-“The Beauty of Darkness” update. Lia and Rafe‘s outcome is not revealed until the book is almost over. This story is great too! I love the new characters and I can‘t wait for the next installment!
I‘m really enjoying this so far. It‘s not as good as the Remnant Chronicles so far, but it is good. I‘m really liking the romance and it‘s pretty fast paced.

My 1st #uppercasebox 😊 such a cute box and this book! I have been wanting to read this book since I first heard about it and could not wait for it to come out! Kind of glad I didn't buy it right away because it wouldn't of been signed like this one is. The necklace they included that goes with the book is so cool, too! #booksubscriptionbox #bookmail #danceofthieves #august2018
