Jones masterfully weaves tension and suspense, creating an atmosphere filled with unpredictability. The characters are well-developed, especially Pammie, who embodies the archetype of the manipulative mother-in-law with chilling intensity. Readers are drawn into Emily's plight, as she navigates her growing unease and the increasingly sinister dynamics at play. I never saw it coming!
Enjoyable to listen to while cleaning. A bit on the drama side with questionable character judgment, at least from what I think would be more common sense thinking for most people. However, in keeping with entertainment talking story, it was pretty good.
This one sucked me in right away...I kept reading because I had to see what Pammie did next. Pammie is every girl‘s nightmare when meeting your boyfriend‘s mother. Her actions and terror go unnoticed by her beloved son and Emily can‘t understand why Adam does not see her for what she really is! The book ends with a decent twist but kind of ends abruptly. Still a good paced story that‘s keeps you wanting more.

No idea what the hype is all about with this one. I gave it to page 59 & just could not do it anymore. The characters are just ridiculous & although the premise was interesting, what I read would have been more believable to a YA than an adult.
Wow, what a plot twist!
What starts out as a seemingly simple monster-in-law tale progresses to a point of jaw-dropping cruelty. Just when you think everything is figured out, the author lights your predictions on fire. A quick and consuming read!
Fast, fun read with a twist at the end. As is often the case with these kind of books, the plot relies on our heroine making some odd choices but I liked it anyway — and it helped that the clues were all there.
These kind of books are the reason I love reading. Easy to read but page turning.
Time to read after being busy. This book is kinda slow right now. Im hoping it get better or it will be going in the dnf pile. I hate not finishing a book. Do you? How often do you not finish a book?
This is the best rootbeer ever. Tastes like old fashion rootbeer. The best.
Enjoying a nice cup of tea. How do you like your tea?
Starting this one now. I loved her other book The First Mistake. So I am sure I will love this one. #JoysofJune #readathon
I am redoing my goals. Finish The first mistake Read Five Total Strangers, The Other Woman, Liars Candle, and The Next #JoysofJune @Andrew65
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I read this one a few months ago and forgot to post a review. It was an interesting take on the wife/mother-in-law dynamic; It seems like a classic toxic, narcissistic mother-in-law disapproving of her soon to be new daughter, but, as in real life, things aren't always as they seem.
My thriller reading mood continues. I actually started his as an ebook months ago but couldn‘t get into it. Finally thought to switch to audiobook which did the trick.
This book was just okay for me. I think the MC is focused on all the wrong things and her man doesn‘t sound worth the effort she‘s putting in. Maybe this is my single brain speaking, but I don‘t understand her focus on getting married so quickly. Glad I can check this off my tbr.
Well, I can't go to sleep now. That ending was intense! My heart is pounding.

Current read. The mother-in-law in this book is really stressing me out! But also, I'm halfway through, and there's no sign of it being a thriller yet.

I've had this book on my shelves for forever! I just saw Sadie Jones talking about her new book and it reminded me I really want to get to this one soon. #thriller #scarathlon #scarathlon2021
Book 105
I listened to The Other Woman thinking it was a thriller. It's more of a story about love with an abrupt twist at the end. An easy listen but unmentionable. ⭐⭐⭐
I‘ve only read one other book by Sandie Jones so I was excited to read this one! I really enjoyed it and like the other book there was an insane twist at the end. You never see it coming. I am definitely going to read her other books! 🌟🌟🌟🌟!
Second book I‘ve read with the same title. Other was by Joy Fielding (great book). In this book we meet Emily who has fallen in love with Adam and the Other Woman is his seemingly evil woman who is doing everything possible to break up this couple. Since the death of their father Pammie bas her two adult sons wrapped around her finger. Great plot twists
This has been on my TBR for years and I finally got to it as an audiobook.
This had me reeling and made it very hard to focus on my work, because WOAH.
I felt every emotion throughout this one and really enjoyed it.
Checking it off my #bookspinbingo board
Why does this book have a 0% on Litsy? I scrolled through a few posts and quite a few people seemed to enjoy it. 😳
This book and the characters had me so worked up lol. I was hating “the other woman”. Great twist in it for me.
“Sometimes things happen and you have no way of understanding them. You try to find a reason to justify it, but there isn‘t always an answer. It‘s just life.”

Immersive and twisted, this book was fantastic! A domestic thriller that shows the lengths of how far one woman will go to terrorize another. Highly recommend this one and I plan to read more from this author #sandiejones #theotherwoman
Took a few chapters to suck me in, but overall a pretty decent thriller.
Eh. I was in the middle for this one but bumped it up because I literally read it in one sitting because it was so twisty. The ending was insane! Worth the read just for that.
This was between a pick and a so-so for me. I decided to bump it up to a pick, since ultimately it was a decent book... I originally had such high hopes for it, that I ended up feeling a bit let down. In the end I gave it a 3/5 stars. Third book finished for #JubilantJuly @Andrew65
I didn't see the end coming!
Well that was a damn good read ! I didn‘t see the ending coming until almost the end ... easy read , not a bad thriller ✅
#WeeklyForecast
I‘m settling in for a thrilling week.
The Other Woman ... halfway & flying through it. Not a bad thriller 👍🏻
Fifty Fifty, Steve Cavanagh ( can‘t go wrong ☝🏻
The Guest List by Lucy Foley , I wasn‘t a huge fan of The Hunting Party , but I think I need thrillers right now.
@TrishB The Guest List is 3€ at the mo 👍🏻
March 26, 2020 Thrillers might just be my new genre that I am reading. I was not sure whether I would enjoy thrillers but they are REALLY suspenseful!! I would give this book a 8/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So please do me a favor and read the book. No spoilers are going to be said
Just reading the prologue gives me chills and I have not even read the book yet...
March 24, 2020 Will be starting this other thriller today!!! Eeek Thrillers might be my friend now
This started off kind of slowly, actually very slowly. I guess part of the reason was because I was reading a lot more heavy books and it didn‘t match my mood at the beginning. Once I got started it was a good read. I definitely guessed what was going on before it was revealed but it was still good. Jones does a good job of building suspense and leaving little clues along the way. My major hang up is that sometimes she jumps around a bit.
I hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected. 😘
I‘m in a little cabin in the north of our province for a week (and just read the tagged thriller in one day 😆).
Happy World Book Day!! I decided to try to spell the word “world” with books. I kind of cheated with the “o” but you‘ll let that slide, right?
I know that we all pretty much celebrate books every single day. But today is extra special! What current reads do you have going to honor this event? I‘m reading Harry‘s Trees by Jon Cohen, Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe by Heather Webber, and The Liar‘s Daughter by Megan Cooley Peterson.
Amazing book!! 100% recommend to be your next read. It kept me interested from the first page. A twist in the plot you will never see coming. Trust me, you‘ll be blindsided. “A twisty psychological thriller about a man, his new girlfriend, and the mother who will never let him go” - the other woman by sandie Jones
Off today and trying to stay off my feet after hiking in tight shoes. Going to try to finish this today.
Wow, what a well written thriller. I have to say this one totally blindsided me. I have several things going on right now and maybe my head wasn‘t in the game and I missed some things but having said that I loved this book!
