My #MovieTime last night was watching the 2005 movie of P&P in honor of Jane Austin‘s birthday yesterday. Between now & New Year‘s weekend, I will watch my favorite adaptation, the 1995 BBC version & depending on my mood & reading month possibly fit in a reread before the book‘s publication date of January 28. ❤️📚🎥🍿💚

I just love the ending paragraph of P&P. I think it‘s a testament to Elizabeth of her altered feelings, not only for Darcy, but having a deeper understanding of herself and allowing her sentiments to change.

1.5 ounces cachaca
1.5 ounce of cherry liqueur
.5 ounce lime juice
Club Soda

Since my trip to UK 3 years ago, I have often contemplated which is inspiration for Pemberley. Lyme Park or Chatsworth? After rereading today's Chapter (for the umpteenth time) I'm going with Lyme Park. Obviously from this my favorite pic of house & Italian Garden, it's gorgeous. OMG all the feels. This is my all time most favorite chapter of the whole book! The proposal, the language, the raw emotions, the expectation and denial. I often just reread it; conveys the whole essence of P&P. I‘m swooning. I‘m in about as much agitation of mind as Elizabeth is, not with as many tears, but to think of her being an object of admiration from Mr. Darcy! He‘s feels much in her refusal.
