Loved the first book and read it in 5 days now to devour this one
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I got a chance of watching the new Fantastic Beasts movie last week, and of course I had to read the screenplay prior to it! I just love reliving the moments!
This is really good!! You have to read the first one for it to make sense. I could not out this down!! I can't wait for the third one. It does end with a cliffhanger so if you don't like books that do that, this isn't for you ( maybe the first one will be better for you then!?).
I‘m not sure how I feel about the whole Nagini thing. And what about this Credence character?
I‘m posting one book per day from my ever-increasing TBR. No description. No explanation. Just books to read. Join the fun if you want.
Day 6.

This has been my least favorite story from the wizarding world created by JK Rowling. Maybe it‘s because it‘s been awhile since I read the first screenplay. Maybe it‘s because I have yet to see either Fantastic Beasts film. I‘ll still count it as a pick because, well, Dumbledore. Hoping I like the movies better. 🧙♂️
“However long you keep me and my friends under surveillance, you‘re not going to discover plots against you, Travers, because we want the same thing: the defeat of Grindelwald.“
Does Dumbledore ever get an apology from the Ministry? Here's another time that they accuse Dumbledore of being secretive and spy on him while they should be using all of their resources to go after the bad guy.

So after reading this... I decided that I don't like to read screenplays. I love the world building and the descriptive scenes in books. If I didn't see the movie first I would have had no idea where this was taken place... a lot of the descriptions were brief. Ex: internal thestral-dawn carriage- night. That's it.
I loved the movie. I loved the book. I love Rowlings wizarding world and I never want to leave it.
Probably my least favorite movie of the Harry Potter universe, but I'm reading the screenplay in anticipation of a re-watch. Squeak is keeping warm under the blanket as I read. Purrrrrrrr.
Love this illustration! 😍
Reading screenplays isn't my favourite format but I enjoyed this all the same and now I can't wait to see the movie. Nifflers unite!
Definitely an amazing book! I love how it picks up right where Fantastic Beasts left off. J.K. Rowling is writing another great series, and I can‘t wait for the next movie/screenplay to come out!
“Regret is my constant companion. Do not let it become yours.”__Albus Dumbledore
“There‘s a story in my family that a Phoenix will come to any Dumbledore who is in desperate need. They say my great-great-grandfather had one, but that it took flight when he died, never to return.”__Albus Dumbledore This explains why Fawkes left when Dumbledore died. I love foreshadowing.
I've ordered this but won't have it for a couple days. Meanwhile I've just heard some VERY distressing things about this screenplay/ movie and I'm kind of angry. I feel like one reveal in particular completely ruins one of the best book series ever.
Ok I just reread that and it sounds kinda dramatic but... I'm feeling dramatic right now!
Finally watched The Crimes of Grindelwald tonight & took the adorable bonus baby #niffler mini #Funko Pop out of the box! Minerva had to check it out too 😱 No harm done but she was ready to carry it off somewhere and chew on it! #catsoflitsy
Hanging out with the hubby watching Crimes of Grindelwald tonight... (Scout and Clete are chillin‘ under my feet 😬)
As per the first book, I only wish these were written like a proper book rather than a screenplay. That being said, I'm loving these character developments and the plot 👏🏻

I‘m really enjoying this one so far. There‘s something extra special about reading the screenplay.
I got this for Christmas but haven't read it yet because although my usual policy is "read the book before seeing the movie", in this case, I want to see the movie first! It is a screenplay, after all, not a novel. #newestbook #anewchapter
I should not have used the Snuggie as a backdrop. Now #Loki won't give it back. #CatsOfLitsy #BratPrincessOfAsgard
#Loki and I are about to get our Jólabókaflođ on! Thank you so much, @Graciouswarriorprincess ! And I love the card, too! @MaleficentBookDragon #jolabokaflodswap
Still mind-blown by the plot twist at the end
The artwork in this book is so pretty but simple 😍
Up next?
I‘m 11 books away from 100 for the year so it‘s going to be a mad dash.
I wanted to like this, but I really don't enjoy the screenplay format & I found storyline a bit confusing.
#BookMail Pt1 I have a few books that have trickled in over the past week or so, preorders mostly & even a few signed! This one is the screenplay of the new Fantastic Beasts movie, which is getting very mixed reviews I must say. I really need to get out of the house and go see this, maybe the drive-in would be easier?🎥🚗🎫 Added to my Potter collection(which is OTT enough to be taking up two shelves with more space needed!)
When you buy a book and the cover matches your nails unintentionally 😂
Saw this the day after Thanksgiving. I love Newt/Eddie Redmayne and all the magical creatures, hell I even love Jacob. But for the love does it UNDERMINE THE EXISITING CANON! i read an article that wonders how can one question JK or George Lucas...and i think fans have the right. Because for us we really care, it's not just about making money. 😫
I suspect this will only be appreciated by true Potterheads like myself, and if oblivious muggles will start with Fantastic Beasts before the Harry Potter series, I don‘t think it‘ll be a hit. I‘m also presently ignoring the backlash on the alleged “Accio Niffler” and McGonagall timeline errors and keeping my final say until I‘m done with the whole FB run. “Pick” for now because the first and second instalments together has been a nail-biter.
NEWT: I got this—I mean, it‘s just a picture of you from the paper, but it‘s interesting because your eyes in newsprint... See, in reality they have this effect in them, Tina... It‘s like fire in water, in dark water. I‘ve only ever seen that— (struggling) I‘ve only ever seen that in—
TINA (whispers): Salamanders?
Definitely wasn‘t blown away. I liked the story better than the first but somehow have my issues with the new franchise. Full review: www.theconstantreader.net
An under discussed topic!
😬😬😬 I am excited!
Excited to see this today with my mom!!!
This just felt like a big ole mess.
I'm enjoying the Fantastic Beasts series so far. It's also great to see some familiar characters make appearances. I'm looking forward to the movie now. I just read this whole book today. 💙
I just finished this whole thing in one sitting. 😍
