Enjoying rereading some Poe and am still listening to TALES OF MYSTERY AND IMAGINATION by the Alan Parson's Project. Here's another fave:

After waiting 11+ weeks to borrow this from the library I finally got my hands on an ebook copy and I‘m so glad I did! Definitely worth the wait! Made sure to read it a few times through and it got better and better each time.
Creepy. Excellent short dark horror story.
Will definitely be getting a physical copy to add to my home library.
I will love these shitty memes until the day I die
Others may question my decorating before the winter break, but my students are excited to become CSI investigators!
Spotted at work. If I buy this, will it allow me to entomb men alive in my cellar?
Happy (pretend it's still but not really) Friday!
1. Tagged--there's something about leading a man to his death with the promise of a drink that ups the creep factor.
2. When the weather and mood are right, Moscow Mule. There's a bar in SLC that serves a Hibiscus Mule that is delish!
3. JT! But I also love dancing to Sia, Pink, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga...no shame.
4. Cart--but I like the sound of buggy!

“The thousand injuries of Fortunato I️ had borne as best I️ could; but when he ventured upon insult, I️ vowed revenge.”
Of the Poe I‘ve read so far, The Cask of Amontillado is a definite favorite 🖤

I forgot to share my other Poe stuff. The two stamps I got there and the trading card the park ranger gave me. Edgar Allan Poe on a trading card, I wonder how he would react to that.
"I continued to smile in his face, and he did not understand that I was now smiling at the thought of what I planned for him, at the thought of my revenge."
It was a short story that kept my eyes darting across the page wanting to know what happens next. The ending was dark and satisfying.
I learned something new from one of my students. Did any of you know this fun fact about Poe? #TeachersOfLitsy
I love relistening to short stories at work and I was so in the mood for some Poe today. Still one of his best works.
My favourite work by EAP! Read it first in college many moons ago, was delighted to find it in my horror compendium! The psychology behind this piece is fascinating. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, just read it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 #deweysreadathon #booktober #horror #collector #compendium #edgarallanpoe #historian #historynerd #yyjbooklovers #bookloversunite #favourite
My first thought went to Montressor of my favorite Poe story, Cask of Amontillado. Illustration by Rackham. #bestnarrator.#octphotochallenge

There remained but a single stone to be fitted and plastered in. I struggled with its weight; I placed it partially in its destined position. But now there came from out the niche a low laugh that erected the hairs upon my head.
