Was kinda expecting the out coming of this book but the ending when it comes to legend was really surprising ( was rooting for Jacks tbh hihi)
Characters were a little annoying:/
Except for Julian, love him

The Fates have been released & Legend has taken the throne. Caraval is over, but a new challenge has begun for Tella. Will she find a way to take down the Fates? Does Legend really love her or was it all pretend?
⭐️⭐️⭐️ This one was ok. I didn‘t really expect some of the events leading up to the ending. I‘m glad there was a happy ending tho. It was a bit boring here & there. Overall, this series is overhyped. I was kinda disappointed.
I‘m in tears thinking about how amazing this series was. Books don‘t often surprise me with their twists but this one surely did and I simply loved it. Even though I know I wasn‘t supposed to I loved Jacks with my whole heart and I simply adored Legend. All of the characters had so much amazing growth throughout that just made me love them more. This series feels like it‘s wasn‘t long enough and I will truly miss the magic it gave my life.
I love that the first and second books ramped up to the FINALE! About 15% of the way in and it is not disappointing!!

August recap in book reviews:
I was too excited for this that I probably got my hopes up a bit too high. I loved it but I also wish there was more.

I just finished this and it was pretty good. I‘m glad I read this series as it was fun.
I‘m excited to be finishing up this trilogy soon and to see how it ends.
A fantastic ending to a truly wonderful, magical series! I can‘t wait to read more about Jacks in the Once Upon a Broken Heart series. He was one of my favorite side characters. I adore Tella and Scarlett both, so their dual POV was nice. I heard this is getting turned into a movie and I sincerely hope they do a good job! 🃏🌹💃🍎♥️

This Trilogy was everything! Absolutely everything!!! I loved it sooo much.
It had all the magic, love stories, and adventure a girl like me could want. I can't wait to read more by Stephanie Garber. This was a real fun Buddy read @BooksNBowls I can't wait to see what we get into next. 🎩❤️👗🗝⏳️🌠
I just have to say, if you haven‘t read this series yet, what are you waiting for?? Finale was the perfect ending to this Trilogy and….Stephanie did you leave a teaser for a next book?
WOW! I thought the first book was good, the second book was okay but this third book was incredible. To see where Donatella, Scarlett, Legend and Julian was awesome. Love is the most powerful form of magic.

I became aware of the OwlCrate playing cards designed for Finale just after they sold out a couple years ago. 😑 I bought the ToG and ADSoM cards as soon as they were available and I‘ve been scouring eBay etc for the Deck of Destiny cards ever since. I finally got a deck, still wrapped in plastic! I can‘t wait to open them, and now I want to reread the Caraval series. I also learned Stephanie Garber has a book on Jacks coming out this fall. 🥰🥰🥰
Book #6: I devoured the last book of this series. So much happens!! I ended up liking this series more than I originally thought I would. I‘m glad I was able to read the series straight through as well, all from the library.
The magic was starting to dull, but it almost seemed as though it was on purpose. The feeling of wonder was revived through the growth of the characters I had come to love. The ending was spectacular and fit the themes of the series fantastically.
I may or may not have just read the last book in this trilogy in one sitting. I was SO FREAKING GOOD! I don‘t think I‘ll ever understand how Stephanie Garber created this masterpiece. The end left me in pieces. I was literally crying! Everyone must read these books!!!! ❤️

Well, finished this audio last Saturday night but haven't had a chance to post. I enjoyed it but liked the 1st in the trilogy better than the last 2. But overall enjoyable.
I'm glad to be finished with the series. This very well could be an unpopular opinion, but overall the series dragged and the descriptive language meant to evoke whimsy & wonder grated my nerves. Finale has less of the weird similes, but a few still made it in. This is another book where the Dragna sisters are in a game, or aren't they? Don't believe anything, except this one time, numerous times. It felt like there were too many characters ⬇️
My Christmas Eve stack!! I know I have a few more wrapped for Christmas... since I‘m the one who bought and put them under the tree 🤣 Excited to spend the next week reading. Wishing all who celebrate a healthy and joy-filled Merry Christmas.
While this is the book in the trilogy I enjoyed the least, I still love this world. The writing is magical and I love magic system and the fates. The author has announced a new trilogy in the Caraval world and I can't wait to see what she does with Jacks.
I don't think this little guy is moving off my lap anytime soon. He's settled in and snoring. It's a good thing! I need motivation to continue reading this chunkster.

I'm still mulling over my lukewarm feelings about book 2, but I'm moving on to book three because goals. I bought them all before I read Caraval so I owe it to myself to read them. At least they're pretty!
I enjoyed the last book in the Caraval trilogy. The story was predictable and I more or less knew how it would go but at the same time it was cute and the relationships among the characters were sweet.
Honestly I was just so underwhelmed by this whole series I liked the setting and world building but that's about all. The plot was okay but nothing really unique I HATED every single romance but most of all I loathed one of the main characters so much she ruined the whole series for me.
Out of the series though Finale was the only one I sort of like.
The ending was okay but it really had none of the energy Caraval had. The romance was incredibly overbearing. Seriously. The first 60% of the book was back to back scenes that were almost indistinguishable from each other. Not enough differences between the characters. Arcs felt unfinished or were just dropped entirely. The main plot felt very halfhearted and scattered. Very few of the non-romance interesting parts made the final cut.
Very different to the first book, loved this series and how the sisters develop as characters
Least favorite of the series. Maybe I‘m just over it, but I felt it went from fluffy entertainment to cringey ya romance.
I would love a book about the Fates, and Paradise the Lost, and the making of Legend, but I felt like the story of Scarlett and Donatella dragged on a little too long. Overall this was a good ending to the series though.
I finally finished the series. That‘s pretty impressive because I don‘t normally read fantasy. Overall the story was okay. The thing that intrigued me from a philosophical point of view is that all of the characters were some good and some bad. It really made me think. Now I need a break from Fantasy.
This book sucked. Totally pointless, nothing about the game aspect that was the whole fucking marketing strategy for the series, God awful writing, bunch of love triangle crap. This series should‘ve been a standalone, but publishers & authors get more money from 3 books than one. Too bad that often seems to be the first priority w/YA fantasy. I ranted more on GR, but basically...shoulda listened to myself of 6 months ago & DNFd the series. 1/5 ⭐️
Tella swore the walls shuddered, as if the study had finally stopped holding its breath.
[LOLOLOL DID THE ROOM LET OUT A BREATH IT DIDN‘T KNOW IT WAS HOLDING???? God the writing in this book is...................ugh.]
“No, no, I meant the *other* little girl whose family had been turned to stone that we magically helped to free and who gave you a random key as a thank you gift.”
The writing in this is so...simplistic. Like, why not just have her hand him the key? Why is she responding as though she‘s not entirely sure what he‘s asking her for when it couldn‘t possibly be anything else?
TBH I‘m not expecting much from this one. I enjoyed the first book, but the second one was mostly a drag and forgettable...case in point, I don‘t even recall how the story left off at the end. But I feel like if I‘ve read 2/3 of a trilogy—even one that should‘ve been at most a duology—I might as well finish it off. At least these are quick reads, considering this one is almost 500 freaking pages! #nowreading
I have been enjoying this easy-read YA series! I love this quote.
Finished this series last night. I'm definitely adding it to my Christmas wish list. So much LOVE. I'm wondering if there are any more books by Stephanie Garber....
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Starting this one tonight and I couldn't be more excited! I definitely don't want this series to end. 💜
I‘m visiting my alma mater today, walking through all the old haunts and sampling some favorite eats. Settling down in one of my very favorite spots on campus to finish the tagged book. 😊🔥☕️
I absolutely loved this conclusion to the Caraval series! It was as beautiful and magical as the first two books and I felt immersed back into the Caraval world. Although the Caraval game was not going on, I honestly didn‘t think it was needed. The story and conclusion were perfect for this trilogy, and it‘s on my top list of series! Most definitely 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Waters turned off in my building (again...😒) so off to my friends house to read...or pet the cat, whatever.
Maybe not the best of the series, but I enjoyed it. If you liked the first two, this is a definite must.
