⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️
Cassie & the other Naturals are brought back on another serial killer case. This time it hits close to home when they copycat Dean‘s incarcerated father‘s style. Who will Cassie finally fall for, Michael or Dean? Will she find her mother?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This one‘s my favorite of the series so far. The mystery & action kept me on the edge of my seat. There was a good balance between romance & mystery. The plot & writing were great. Definitely recommend!

Book 2 of The Naturals series was a fun ride with lots of twists. I‘m quickly becoming attached to Cassie & the 4 other teens on her FBI cold case team. In this book, the killer is looking like a copycat for Dean‘s father, a notorious serial killer & so of course, even though they are only supposed to work on cold cases, the group gets involved. Now on the (6 week) waiting list for book 3.

One of my current series is #WithMurder🩸it‘s actually full of it, as a group of five YA “naturals” (profilers, lie detectors, etc.) work for a below-the-radar FBI operation to solve cold cases. It‘s got me rewatching the series Lie to Me again.
The tagged book is the second & the one I‘m currently reading. Start with the first tagged ⬇️

Ended up sleeping in a bit on my PTO Friday & then headed for the mall because I wanted to go to Barnes & Noble. I‘ll share my small haul later. Now I‘m in the cafe with spinach artichoke quiche & their “Spring Fruit Punch” which is a mango dragonfruit refresher with strawberry purée. It‘s quite fruity & good. After my break with one of my current reads, I‘m off to Target & hopefully over to Daiso for notebooks. A good meandering day. ??
I'm so glad I took a leap and decided to try book 2 in this series after a "meh" for book 1. This book had less YA angst, a great mystery, and was fast-paced. I look forward to checking out book 3.
So long, January! Thank you for these amazing books! 📚
I'm totally binge reading this series. Think Criminal Minds meets YA and voila. It's fast paced, smartly written and populated with great characters. Highly recommend this series! #bookspin @thearomaofbooks
Loving this series!!!! Another great book. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
This 2nd book focuses on Dean of “The Naturals” and has a lot to do with his father. With both the probability and the improbability of The Naturals program addressed in this book, it has me completely hooked. A purposeful plot that is both intricate and insightful, with easy-to-like characters. The Naturals Series grabs you and doesn't let you go…I'm definitely ready for Book #3…which is my favorite of the series. The narration was fantastic.
Well hello there Litsy! I have missed you all. I spend most of my time on BookTok now but I have been reading some fabulous books lately. All the chatter about missing photos reminded me to come back and check in on Litsy. Tonight I am indulging in this comfort read from The Naturals series. I Hope everyone is doing well!
Also the next book in a series for #ScarathonDailyPrompts “Killer” @Clwojick
This was a fantastic sequel to The Naturals, with a new case in hand that's related to one of the team, Cassie and the others used their skills to work on the murders. I absolutely loved the criminology and psychoanalysis in this book, it's realistic and educational. I had no clue what was going to happen or who the killer was, and I liked the plot twist. I also enjoyed the small romance development's too. Looking forward to the next book!
Loved it! Not what expected to finish but I‘ll take my wins where I can get them!!
Barnes is officially to blame for my sleep deficit! This is the 4th book I've read by her this year, the 2nd in this series, and she's quickly become one of my YA favorite authors. The stakes are no less serious in this sequel, the characters no less likeable, the storyline no less suspenseful! Teenage angst and twisty plots? I'm addicted! I just broke my book buying diet to buy the next installment!
A really enjoyable, well-written follow-up, with twists that kept me guessing till the last quarter of the book — which is pretty good, considering this was my second time reading it! Once again, the ensemble cast of characters were my fave — these criminal hunters are dynamic, raw, & witty. Their dialogue sparkled on the page. And, thankfully, the triangle was resolved, so we‘ll see less of unnecessary angsting moving forward. Can‘t wait! ★★★★☆.
The second book in this YA series about an elite FBI unit of young people called the Naturals, concentrates on Dean and his serial killer father.
Although it was slow to get going, by halfway through I was racing through the chapters. I did work it out but there were some nice curveballs by the author. Rating: 4 🌟
This one might have been better than the first. Another book I couldn‘t put down.
On bad days, I suspected...that parts of me would never be quite right - and that those were the parts that made me good at the job.
Of the 6 books I'm reading right now, I couldn't tell you why I chose the serial killer mystery for my relaxing bath... But it did the trick and I really enjoyed it!
Okay so I meant to use the previous quote as my review so this will have to do!
Book 2 in a series where teenagers with hyper awareness (profiler, emotions reader, lie detector, etc) work for the FBI and solve crimes with their mad skills. Judd is like their house mom, and he sees through it all.
I read book 1 when it came out 3 years ago so it was great to see what these kids were up to.
It was a long week but I finally got time to finish it!
What kind, indeed?!
I've had a bit of a book hangover like never before. I haven't read anything since 2:30ish am Monday morning when I finished my 24 hours of the #24in48 #readathon. Tonight I'm going to make reading great again and pick up where I left off in this story. About teens. Working in the FBI. HUNTING A SERIAL KILLER KTHXBAI!
Holy cats...I DID IT! My first #24in48 or any #readathon is complete. I thought I had posted the picture on the left hours ago. Book 13 and I'm 37% done with it.
💪📚🙌💯🍾🎉🤓👍
Now if you'll excuse me, this girl needs to be up in 3 1/2 hours for work.
