I hate to say these were the worst books, because they were not, I simply didn‘t finish them.

Here‘s my #DecemberChill playlist! Mostly just been listening to the Christmas playlist my sister and I made. The other playlist is for Advent. (Just bw you and me though, I‘ve been putting my Christmas playlist on repeat since the beginning of November!) 😂🤷🏽♀️

This is slow moving and I‘m kind of confused, but I love this narrator so much I‘m going to keep going. #DecemberChill
While my iPad charges, I‘m dipping back into the depressing monotony that is #DrZ 😩I‘m also listening to my “chill” playlist in the background 🎶 Definitely helps 💚 Don‘t forget #DecemberChill begins Friday, December 3🥶

It‘s a bail for me! 😭😅 I tried my best to keep up with the story. Idk if it‘s the translation edition but it was too slow and many scenes were dragged out for my taste.
I went ahead and read the plot online though so I‘m good to join the #DecmeberChill discussion ☺️
I‘m all in for the #DecemberChill #BuddyRead of #DrZ! I bought this back when I read The Secrets We Kept. The good news is the audiobook is the same translation as my print copy so I can go back and forth. Since I struggle with so many Russian authors in translation, though, I‘m looking forward to bailing on this one soon! 🤣🤣
My #weeklyforecast is more November project than just one week forecast … My plan for this third and last attempt to read Dr. Zhivago is - that when I will feel tired of Russian complexity, I'll read mystery story … just to distract my mind with something else😬
#DecemberChill #DrZ I may be in over my head 🥺🤭
I've already started #BuddyRead #DecemberChill book - twice in English translation, but the story doesn't pull me in, and, to be completely honest, it seems pretty boring, at least the beginning. The Slovenian translation is my third and final attempt to read this classic, for which I have the feeling that the drama around it is more interesting than the final product …

A Dangerous Collaboration 4🌟
Listened to a good chunk of Dr. Zhivago on audio but lost my way….so many characters. Starting over in print.
Just started the other two.
My DrZ arrived ( it was one of the dearer copies ) , but I wanted the print to be easily read … and I‘ve got a good result .. not too small print 👍🏻
I‘ll put it somewhere where I can admire it until December 👍🏻❤️
More than 50% through and I‘m officially DNFing this book. I‘m not interested in the characters, their motivations, the politics, or the posturing & drama. A bit confusing to read, especially in the beginning. I‘m disappointed that this didn‘t work out for me because I‘ve heard about the movie (which I also was not a fan of) since I was a kid.
It didn‘t work out for me, but I hope it works for someone else!
Picked my first TBR #bookandamovie combo for July: Dr. Zhivago!
I‘ve heard of this movie but never seen it and never read the book. The movie version is from 2010 (the only version available at my library) and I‘ll be watching after I read if you‘d like to join along. My plan is to pick 1 book&movie combo each month from a rolling list of 150 I‘ve curated. If you have any suggestions, I‘d love to hear them 😁
Working on finishing up one more classic in 2020!
After reading The Secrets We Kept, this immediately went on my TBR...were finally getting a cold snap in Central Florida, so it‘s time to crack it open.
And, I think these Vintage Classics Russian Series books are just GORGEOUS!
I love a Russian chunkster and I'm loathe to pan anything but this is one of the most frustrating books I've read. If only he'd get on with telling the story, rather than telling *about* it! Many of the plot-points occur "offstage" and are revealed in info-dumps posing as dialogue (seriously, who on Earth has such conversations?!) and meanwhile we have 400 pages of gorgeous descriptions of snow melting, mice getting into the unharvested crops...
Thanks @GinaKButler for telling me about #bookspin. I am looking forward to getting some unread books off of my shelves. What a great idea @TheAromaofBooks
