Today's library books, along with tagged book I picked up, Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin, The Island of Lost Maps by Miles Harvey, The Tangled Tree by David Quammen. I just browsed and grabbed :)
Hey all, the awesome @Soubhiville is bringing back #authoramonth. It‘s a type of free for all book club. An author is chosen and then you read what ever book by that author you want. At the end of the month we talk about what we read.
Since this is kind of my fault I want to all to head over to her original post and vote for some authors. I take full credit on misspelled authors because I didn‘t pay attention to autocorrect when I suggested them
I know this is litsy and people dont really need to be convinced to read, but maybe this is worth a look after all?! www.futurelearn.com/course/how-to-read-a-novel
An interesting article with solid recommendations for #TeachersOfLitsy: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/25/opinion/sunday/how-to-get-your-mind-to-read.h...
Day3 of #riotgrams : #howyouread I picked a sampling of snaps to show some favorite ways I read...enjoying the outdoor sunshine in my new backyard, snuggled up on the couch or in bed, and relaxing at the beach! Notice that kitties and cups of tea are often a feature when I'm reading. 😻📚
@bookriot #howyouread part two! As well as the #Kindle app, I have a #Kindle which means I can read two different books on them. I also enjoy physical copies & I'm posting one of my current reads on the right for this reason. #riotgrams

@pocketmermaid Thanks to a friend, I read 7-8 books at a time which I have everywhere- just in case, I find a few minutes to read. #jennasfinalproject

I almost resolved to put a dent in my current tbr before buying more books, but that would just be a flat out lie. My big thing is bailing on books that just aren't worth my time, which I find difficult. I just need to remember the sunk cost fallacy and invest my precious time in books that are worth it.
@RealLifeReading
Unter dem Credo "zuviele Bücher für zu wenig Lesezeit". Wenn der Postbote mal wieder klingelt und die Bücher bis nach Hause bringt. ???
Working here makes me happy: one colleague brought me tea, another one shared his freshly baked Christmas cookies with us and I get to read. Who wouldn't call that the best job ever? I know I'm lucky. 😊 And look at that colourful cookie - it's like the unicorn of cookies and it actually glitters!
