Big Ship was also my August BookSpin.
Not as much reading time last week but still finished 4 books. Loved No Two Persons 4 1/2🌟 Two more #SeriesLove23 read and my last #LMPBC The Violets of March which was not bad but forgettable. Just started Saint X and Year of Wonders. I was unsuccessful in completing a Le Guin for #AuthorAMonth, both tries were DNF.
#BookReport @Cinfhen. I had another great week of #MiddleGradeMarchThroughTime 1961...The Berlin Wall goes up 1854... London during a cholera outbreak 2001... a small Texas town during the aftermath of 9.11.01 1932...Stella's Community battle the KKK. 4 and 5🌟's this week! #Weeklyforecast I'm going to switch gears and read the #KindredSpiritsBuddyRead selection, The Blue Castle next. @BarbaraJean Sorry, I know I'm a little behind.

The #MGbuddyRead pick We Dream of Space gave me all the 80s feels and brought back so many memories.
I read another one off my #NewYearWhoDis list- Prairie Lotus A Little House on the Prairie retailing. 1880: Hanna is a 14 year-old biracial girl in Dakota territory, that faces many hardships and prejudice.
I doubt I‘ll finish anymore books today, so I‘m willing to call this week complete. I finished more than I thought I would and really enjoyed everything I read. Hamnet was really some gorgeous writing but in terms of plot, I don‘t think it‘s strong enough to make my best of the year list 🤷🏼♀️The Sedaris was hilarious, Whereabouts was good but again probably not the best of the year and the Silva is like a visit with an old friend~ comforting 💕

The Other Mother was my 3rd by Matthew Dicks (or sometimes Green), and I really enjoyed it. He has a special talent for writing young protagonists.
Also read the book that has travelled the world via many Littens, and loved it too.
In Progress- An audio #ARC which I am LOVING so far, and I just started Lions Den for #popsugarsummer and it seems like trashy fun.
Next Up- another #ARC that comes out 9/8
A middling #bookreport The Martha Grimes was disappointing (unfortunate bc I love her characters). Made Things was wonderful but just a short novella. The Edwardians was fascinating but I‘ve reached saturation in reading about this period now - I‘ll take a break and jump my classics reading into the 40s and 50s.
Also old stone stairs that take you inside a cliff - perfect for a gothic novel. 🏰

Made good progress with my #NetGalley shelves and only added 7 new ARCs to the pile. 🙈🙈🙈🤦🤦🤦
My #BookReport for last week is a day late, do I get a B for this? I finished Five Days At Memorial, am at 75% for Leviathan Wakes & at 50% for 102 Minutes. Last week was a tough one, I had constant headaches for a few days then personal problems got in the way so I did the best I could. This week will hopefully be better!🤞

Finished my 🎧of Becoming ~ very informative & full of great tidbits.
Read the new Colson Whitehead - super bleak but so well written
Had to put aside my two NF books / I just wasn‘t in the mood 😬
Started a new 🎧and a new print 📖both are excellent so far
It was a good week for #NetGalley progress 😊

Glad I waited until end of the day because I finished a 5th book!!! Plainsong was a #OneSittingRead and 5 HEARTFELT stars
Speak No Evil - contemporary fiction/ very good I already posted reviews on other 3 books, LOVED both #NF (both audio)
Three bails this week, annoyed because I wasted 2/5 loans from Hoopla. Gods is probably great but not on audio. The Holdout is an #ARC #NetGalley 👎🏼 Just started Like Dreamers, #NF 👍🏻
