Gotta love the complete mood-mismatch of this cover. 😂 Maybe the Russian edition? It certainly looks like a long dark teatime of the soul.

Three linked YA romances set in the same snowed-in small town around Christmas. Liked the first story by Maureen Johnson but it went downhill from there. The language has really not aged well, either. And why does Addie know the name of all the kids in her small high school except for “the Korean guy“?

I think I would have liked this better ten years ago. I can still do YA but this one was a little far fetched and too neat of an ending.

3✨I wanted to read this for a holiday challenge and never got to finish it. I‘ve had it on my shelf for a while because I enjoy reading John Green‘s books. The problem with the different stories is I liked the John Green one and the first one by Maureen Johnson I also got into. It was the last story I didn‘t like and I wouldn‘t say it was because of Lauren Myracle‘s writing. I just did not like the character. They did all tie together though.

Okay really behind, but here is an update for #BFC2022 I did not meet exercise goals, but I did focus a lot on my self-care. Man did I need it! For those who don‘t know I fostered my nieces when my sister was trying to get things back together. Having 4 kids and then giving birth to my youngest for a month shy of a year took its toll on my emotions and I didn‘t feel myself anymore. Being a little selfish got me behind on everything else. So ⬇️

This is a book of 3 connected stories by 3 different authors. A light,fun romantic read.

The latest in a bunch of unbelievable books I read this month. On one hand, fun light reading. On the other, girl goes home with stranger she just met after disembarking her stranded train in a strange place, teenagers crashing cars in snowstorms to deliver Twister to a Waffle House, and super self absorbed girl is magically transformed by…actually, I don‘t even know, but I didn‘t buy it. Maybe I am just too old and crotchety for this one. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Finished the #TeamGameSleighers team read. It was super cute! I loved the interconnected characters. Each story was great, but I liked the cheertastic christmas miracle the best. I watched the movie adaptation right afterwards and it was also good. They changed a bunch but it worked better for the screen.

Finished! On the whole I enjoyed this - the first story is my favourite, the middle one is kinda laced with misogyny which unsurprisingly I wasn't very here for lol but it was kinda fun nonetheless, and the third one has a relatively sweet little message😊

Watched the movie. While I think as a whole it‘s better than the book, I felt like the things that actually worked for the book were changed. The Stuart-Jubilee story line was kind of random and there was zero background on Jeb who I felt deserved better in both the book and the movie. I thought this was a fun read. I enjoyed how the stories connected to one another. I know many of the #WGWordSearch words were in it, but reading physical book - when I finish I scan for words but don't catch many - if only there were a program for word occurrence counting for physical books 😂!

I finished this one last night. Wow, I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to try and get those holiday words in while listening to the audiobook. I'm a multitasker and I'm usually doing something else while listening to my audiobooks, so I don't have time to stop and add tally my words. Luckily I own a copy of this book so I'll go back and add those words in later.
