This is the debut book in a charming new cozy series. Annie is a savvy smart protagnist who has a criminology degree. Annie has a wonderful idea to hold a town wide "mystery festival". The festival is a success drawing mystery readers in to follow clues at various businessess to try to solve mysteries. The turn out is unexpected & the bookstore's involvement is a huge success when a murder occurs.

Book 154.

I liked this one, and the killer was not immediately obvious. The setting lacked a bit for me as it seemed secondary to the characters. Not quite as developed as I‘m used to for cozies, but I‘ll give book two a shot. It did talk about a reader convention and I sorely miss the one that used to happen in WI.

Listening to this one at work yesterday and she mentions Trixie Belden and Cherry Ames - makes my heart happy! Then last night I find out there‘s a Bob White group on Litsy!

It‘s just after sunrise. Cool on the porch; a breezy 68 degrees! I am even wearing a thin summer cotton bathrobe! Reveling in this weather- temps will rise but for now, I am comfortable. Plan to walk with my neighbor in about 15 minutes. #readyourkindle

#ReadYourKindle is really helping me tackle my backlog of 800+ titles. The tagged is a new series by a favorite cozy author. A Vow is the end of a trilogy, both the Woodbury and the Bradley are next up in ongoing series.

Hope to cross all 4 off the list this month.

@CBee

CBee Is the Alan Bradley series good? I keep thinking I‘d like it 😊 2mo
Deblovestoread @cbee. I like it but the three I‘ve read have been more like stand alones rather the series because I‘ve read them to far apart and forget everything in between. 2mo
