I really need to not leave such a big gap between volumes. I almost forgot half of everything that had happened in volume 1. All the same I really enjoy this series! Now to get my hands on the next one.
I‘ve had this for years and am finally making myself read it. I have volume 3 too. I‘m one of the many who buys books and then takes forever to actually read them 🤷🏾♀️😆
pickWell, that was fun. All the sass & mayhem anyone could want along with a madman out for revenge wielding town destroying power & a band of mercenary women who have to take him down—while, hopefully, leaving time for shenanigans on the side. This comic is just ridiculous good fun & gives you all the reasons you might need to giggle, snort, guffaw, roll your eyes, smirk, shake your head, groan, and, at the end, smile & reach for the next one.
Going to start this rainy morning with Rat Queens because this weather deserves a little sass with a side of mayhem thrown in. The family is still asleep and I‘m going to make the most of the quiet!
pickThank the gods a comics-loving friend lent me the first two volumes and proceeded to ask me if I've read them multiple times since. I read the first volume yesterday and the second today.

pickLook at my review of vol. 1 for how I feel about this graphic novel. I hope the rest of the series is just as enjoyable. I‘ve heard so many great things about it! Btw cw for definite swearing and fantasy violence/gore/body horror. Also panels displaying nudity and sex. All consensual. (Imho None of it ever feels overly gratuitous, just right on the tone 👌👌👌)
pickAnother filthy romp with the Rat Queens! The story picks up the morning after the huge celebratory party at the end of volume one. We get some exciting back story on a couple of the characters, Dee's past shows up at her door, and Betty has to confront her feelings for Sawyer - all while the Rat Queens save Palisades from some evil dimensional demons that have been unleashed for revenge.
pickI enjoyed volume 1. Volume 2 was bigger and better with more action and more of the same zaniness as vol 1. Loved it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

pickAnother good volume of Rat Queens. I enjoyed how sassy they are but they still stick together. And they'll all so interesting! Cinderella was an interesting twist on a classic too
pickI love these ladies so much!! They‘re all so complex and well rounded, especially with the additional backstory in this volume thanks to some squid god reality bending side effects. Also, more Orc Dave and his various beard birds forever plz 🐥

Figured it out. Vol 4 is a 'soft reboot'. Still our lovely ladies, story line doesn't continue from the wicked ass cliff hanger of Vol 3.
Love Rat Queens. But confused. Dies anyone else feel like vol 4 does not follow from vol 3?

pickThis vol seems more gorey/brutal than the first but plotwise that makes sense. I love how brazen Rat Queens is about "female" sexuality in all its forms, this is a level of liberty I've seen in very few works.
Also, great pick of fave lines for #autumnreads; I'm going with "stop fuckin with my sexy thoughts!" #favoriteline

pickThe second volume of this fun series finds the group facing the complete destruction of the city. Not quite as strong as volume 1, but still humorous, very adult, and full of twists.
Does anyone else read Rat Queens? I'm just curious ... I read a few volumes that my public library had, and I enjoyed them more than I thought I would. Hoping I can read the rest soon! If you like this series, comment with your favorite character. (It's a toss-up, they're all great ... but I think I'm gonna have to go with Violet!)

This volume really let me down. The storyline wasn't very interesting to me and I hated the artwork switch. The panel above is the only one that made me chuckle; I felt that the rest of the humor and oomph of the first volume was totally missing.
