I loved this, my #titlesandtunes pick for #sexdrugsandrocknroll. It certainly wasn‘t on the seedy side, despite Esme living in squats in the 70s and designing see-through outfits; it just seems as though she has enjoyed every minute of a fabulous life, and is still doing so!

I thought I‘d like this more than I did. Interesting premise and well written. However, I found myself more interested in trying to figure out why the iconic Evelyn Hugo specifically chose the relatively unknown Monique Grant to write her story. (Which I did figure out before the reveal). I still recommend it, but I enjoyed Carrie Soto is back much more. Looking forward to trying another from this author. #authoramonth

I wasn‘t expecting to read this straight through but that‘s exactly what I did. What a delight! So many lovely characters & some true villains & in the end they all got what they deserved - so satisfying. I loved the family dynamics, the behind the scenes at the fashion house & the clothes, of course. I was fascinated by the undergarments - what do you think a “backless brassiere” is?
