Marni How to decide?! Prep or The Gifted School, both look sooooo good! I‘ll go with Prep because Curtis Sittenfeld write one of my favorite books 5y

Reviewsbylola I just started reading Matilda to my kids after great success with Charlie & the Choc Factory and its sequel. So far they hate Matilda and are begging me to bail. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 5y

Wiz-poppers , dream-catching, The Queen of England and a Big Friendly Giant was a delightful way to spend a few hours this morning. An enchanting audio,as suggested by my fabulous friend & #bookseller @KarenUK for #PoP20 #MadeUpLanguage #ReadWithMrBook 🎧💜For all my friends who have little Littens, I suggest you listen to this audio with them. It‘ll bring giggles and snorts of laughter 😁❣️Hilarious sound effects and brilliant narration.

Cinfhen I was SOOOOO dreading that prompt @KarenUK but this was SUPER SWEET / I can‘t believe this bypassed me in childhood @Curiouser_and_curiouser @ju.ca.no I did detect a few phrases that might not be pc these days but it‘s totally forgivable 😄 5y

Into the Crooked Place | Alexandra Christo

Would give it 3.5 stars if I could! The first several chapters were mostly slow with some exciting action sprinkled here and there, enough to get me to keep reading. When I finally got to the heavy action, BOY. Was I hooked! Well that audiobook was completely delightful. What a wonderful throwback to my childhood. My mum was a lovely ‘out-loud‘ reader, and actor/comedian/children‘s author David Walliams reminded me so much of the magical experience of being read to as a little ‘un. I love Dahl‘s icky, silly stories that sneak in some mirror to our humanity. I felt like my 6yr old self again. A story of dreams and friendship. 4hrs well spent💕

The Last Wish: Introducing the Witcher | Andrzej Sapkowski

Enjoyed all the Slavic folklore/mythology references in this book of short stories from the Witcher series. Nothing outstanding, but a fairly solid group of stories. Some misogyny thrown in, the type fairly common in male-centric fantasy novels.
