This was a decent quick read about a woman living in the big city who gets fired just in time to take over her Aunt‘s farm in rural Utah. Of course there is murder.

Frankenstein was enjoyable enough. As usual it wasn‘t at all what I thought it would be, but that‘s not a bad thing. My favorite chapters were the ones where they were on the boat. My least favorites were when Frank would just faint for months at a time.
Picture is of the pumpkin I bought today because the lady at the register said it looked like Frankenstein. (I didn‘t tell her she meant the creature.)

This was a hard book to read, but important and informative.

It‘s Not Easy Being The Daughter Of The Devil.
It‘s her destiny to rule Hell. As usual, Sabrina has other plans for her future.
The writing is juvenile and redundant at times, but I do like the storyline.

This is the second book I‘ve read in this series about solving crimes in the National Parks. I like them. This one featured grizzly bears in Montana. I‘m looking forward to reading more.

The Caldwells are cursed. Every 13 years, someone dies. Florence chooses to suppress her magic to avoid the curse, & Evie tries to do enough good to break the curse. Neither way is working, & the anniversary is approaching.
Intense family drama, spanning 3 generations of witches, dealing w/ loss, generational trauma, abuse. More POVs than I thought necessary, & a romance I didn‘t really care about. But I loved the modern family members.🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

No one knew where she had come from...a scrap of a girl clinging to a black cat with eerie yellow eyes. And no one noticed that at night her innocent blue eyes turned an eerie, evil yellow..

This was just okay. The mystery was okay. The romance was okay. It was okay.
I had fun with this, I just didn't take it massively seriously. It's quick fluff.
There was a Harry Potter reference which I thought was unnecessary especially in contemporary queer romance.

Out of all of MXTX‘s works this was the one that interested me the least. I wasn't going to buy it but I found it for £3 at a charity shop.
This didn't capture me. I enjoyed the sections in the present but I found the flashbacks quite dull. I'm not interested enough to carry on, especially since it's such a long series and expensive to buy.

I really enjoyed this because it wasn't serious. It was a fantasy comedy which seems to be a genre I really like. Quick and easy read.
It's not accurate alt-history or historical fantasy. It often felt more Victorian period than Tudor.
