I worked for the government for 35+ years at three different organizations. I‘ll come back to that later. As a #longtimefed I have a lot of thoughts about…all this. For a host of reasons I‘m reluctant to share much on “public” media for now, but I consider Litsy MY “safe space.”

ImperfectCJ I suspect there aren't many people not affected by the cuts, even if they aren't federal employees/contractors. My dad was career military and has been a federal contractor since his military retirement. My spouse is in the biosciences, which rely on federal grants to fund drug discovery and not only further the development of life-saving medications but make the US THE place for scientists. The changes will have profound ripple effects. 5d

Suet624 Always happy to hear your thoughts. I was thinking this morning that our economy is so fragile and there are so many interconnecting parts to it. What they are doing right now to the economy alone is so dangerous. And of course there are so many other things to protest as well - health and safety and ... on and on and on. 5d
