pickAs a stand alone book, it's a decent story. But as a sequel to The Bar Code Tattoo I was a disappointed with the direction it took.

I read The Bar Code Tattoo about 15-20 years ago and loved it (highly recommend it). I didn't know there was a sequel until I was browsing through a local indie bookstore and happened upon this.
pickOk. I Love. This. Woman! What a badass💞
Took me a while to finish because I didn't want to miss a word--about her life, the history, the information. It put so much of what's happening today in the Middle East into context that it really is a must read.

This reading is inspired by The Book of Lost Names that piqued my interest in the people who forged documents in WWII. Shout out to @Offmybookshelf for finding this book and passing it on to me ❤️
pickA moving story, with a little too much repetition as it was told from various PsOV. But, and not to sound cold hearted, I was a little annoyed with Mary Kaye. If you sprain your ankle and your entire leg swells the next day get thee immediately to the ER, do not pass Go, don't even stop for a red light; you don't wait for your doctor's appt the next day.
