So excited to revisit Holly 😁💃🏻
Another worthy #BlameItOnLitsy read! Thanks all 😊
The story really pulled me in from word one. I had a few eye roll moments, but over all I found it hard to put down.

It's a dreary day--perfect for reading!!! Another #BlameItOnLitsy read
From before radio to the smartphone how the world changed and one man exemplified going with the flow. Highly recommended!

Swapping out my #DoubleSpin #MonthlyNonfiction2025 for a #BookSpinBingo nonfiction because mood reading 😂
Not a favorite. The Chilean civil war was interesting; the rest not so much.

"The day I turned seven years old, April 14, 1873, my mother, Molly Walsh, dressed me in my Sunday best and brought me to Union Square to have my portrait taken."

I love these quiet stolen reading hours of early Sunday mornings.
The story of friendship will stay with me because it was that good. But the writing was off. I didn't care for the dual timeline because the present parts were boring and flat and felt like they were written by someone else. The ending dragged and I just couldn't wait for it to be over. So disappointing.

My part of house painting is done! ???? Now the Mr. Just has to finish all the parts I couldn't reach, and the cutting in that just isn't my forté ?
I have now moved on to gardening, which I know nothing about ? Taking a break to start the new Backman ?
Very much felt like an elderly coming of age story for 70 year old Tommy who thought he could back to his old life. I kept hearing Billy Joel in my head, "then the king and queen went back to the green, but you can never go back there again." It also felt Twilight Zone-y as Tommy walked around Downtown not understanding why it all looked so different, and feeling like an "old fool" for thinking it'd be the same.

Starting this with a nice cuppa
I thought the story would carry the weird writing style. I thought wrong. #HailTheBail

"It was dusk on a winter day, and from high on the mountain came barking, drifting down above the snow like peals of a bell, one, two, three, four, more, just to say the light was leaving, but that was all right: here I am, I'm a dog, all is well."

📚 The tagged and My Friends by Fredrik Backman, two auto-buy authors for me.
📚📚 I enjoy supporting authors by sharing what I've read on here, IG, and StoryGraph.

What a fascinating imagining of the people who shared in the life of an ancient text. It really brings to mind just how much was lost in book burnings of yore.

The overwhelming crowds make a visit to The Stanley rather underwhelming 🤷🏻♀️
