"No, no, you appalling townie." I am all for watching Made in Chelsea and the like but good lord. #theplusone #chicklit #uhhhhhh

"It was her duty and destiny to be dull, to be as useful and undemonstrative as a postage stamp." Never heard Her Majesty described quite that way before ? #Royallygoodreads #royalbiography
This was such a fantastic book about Mart Stuart- is it a full length biography? Nope, but it covers all of those lingering questions that people always have about the Queen of Scots, and has a FANTASTIC reading list! #maryqueenofscots #historian #history
Enjoying Small Admissions thus far! #fiction #Kobo #Saturdayreading
FINALLY tracked this down! Enjoying it so far- Agins is fairly in tune with the style world #style #fashion #nonfiction
I've got to say, I'm enjoying this book in a very quiet but satisfying way. And once you have a cuppa in it, I'm sold #NeilGaiman #TheGraveyardBook #tea #ya #bookclub
I've had this on my Kobo for a while, its time to dig in! #historicalfiction
An quick but enjoyable book! Nicholl doesn't share anything terribly new but a good intro #Royalbio #biography
The Art Lovers Mysteries was one of my favourite cozy series, and it sat in limbo for YEARS- a new to me instalment is back in my life and I can't stop listening! #recommendsday #cozymystery #cozy
This is a fairly easy read, though it seems to move through Conseulo's life at a very even pace- there were no highs or lows according to this. I might recommend To Marry An English Lord instead if you are interested in the phenomenon of American heiresses marrying English lords #history #biography
Finally reading/listening to The Glitter and the Gold, a wonderful trip into the past! #biography #history #Aristocracy
I'm loving this book, and I don't know why I waited so long to read it! The only part I would ditch is the continual descriptions of 80s hair and clothing- you wouldn't do that in a contemporary mystery, so why now? #mystery #cozy #Anglophile
I've been sitting on this on my Kobo for a while and I'm back into cozies again! Plus with the Royal Wedding coming up, it's time to spend some time in an English town or two! #cozy #cozymystery #royalwedding
Entertaining but a lot of the same throughout
Happy to share Stoned for #recommendsday - a genuinely funny, interested, and fascinating look at why we are fascinated ourselves with jewelry! #history #historian #style
No shit Marie and Louis weren't ready... Stoned is thoroughly entertaining #noshit #ineptroyals #history
A great escape, and a fantastic update to the Holmes narrative! #mystery #SherlockHolmes #Holmes
This was a wonderful book, no pun intended. It was quite tough to read about a breakup that was almost identical to mine, but Giovanna is a talented writer who got to the heart of it. I can't recommend it enough. #GiovannaFletcher #chicklit #recommendsday
Separating memories from a person is one of the hardest things to do, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Giovanna Fletcher is a brilliant writer. #Chicklit
I've been looking for this for ages for less than $20 CAD- was able to snag it on Google Play for $5 #GooglePlayBooks #deal #GiovannaFletcher #toberead #ebooks
I typically don't find myself interested in YA, but the Charlotte Holmes series is quite entertaining. It's holding my attention and everything! #CharlotteHolmes #mystery
Absolutely fantastic retelling- fits well with the tone of existing mythology, and Gaiman is a kick-ass narrator. Well worth the read/listen! #NorseMythology #NeilGaiman #Thorwasntgood
Not sure how I feel about this- an entire book on different personality tests is tiring and not that interesting.
This is what blogging is now 🤣
Trying to get ahead for book club- I'm really enjoying this so far! An interesting look at how we use and view social media #tellEveryone
So much fun so far- perfect for any fans of Sabrina or Clarissa! #SabrinatheTeenageWitch #MelissaJoanHart #memoir
Only an hour in, and I'm already thoroughly entertained! The perfect escape! #thehatinggame #chicklit #funfiction
Anyone else using #Kobo audiobooks? Any thoughts on it? #Koboaudiobooks #audiobook
Finally giving Lord John a shot! #LordJohn #Outlander
This was very interesting!! A balance of sociology and psychology with fun and recipes- makes you want to #hygge all the time 😍
Of course I can't walk into a bookstore without finding something...... #NovelDestinations #JaneAusten
This was hilarious, from start to finish! I find that most satires don't fit well with historical fiction, but Buckley mixes the genres perfectly. A fantastic narrator!
Back to one of my favourite books- seventh read through/listen! #laughoutloud #goodpeople #bio
This was an interesting look into Jane's effect in her family in our present, and while it did meander away from Jane at a few points it always came back.
My only gripe is that the author continually looked at everything with a modern lens- duh entails seem stupid in the 21st century! Still, well worth a read or listen if you are interested in the world of Jane! #janeausten #nonfiction #bio
Amazing in any form, the audiobook is super entertaining from start to finish! It's such a crazy but uncommon lifestyle, it's like spending time on another planet! #CrazyRichAsians #audiobook #chicklit
@Jilljemmett inspired me to share some of my favourite colouring books: The Royal Family, Secret London, and Outlander. Not pictured: Jane Austen, Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast, and Fantastic Beasts! #colouring #colouringbook #Outlander #HarryPotter
Next up- a new book for Austen fans! #janeausten
Wonderful, as usual- although now I'm left seriously wondering how on earth they are going to recreate this book into just one season of television!! I always forget the last bit of Voyager somehow, and every time, MIND BLOWN. #Voyager #Outlander #droughtlander
This was awful, I'm sad to say. Ashley, the protagonist, was stubborn and childish to ridiculous proportions, all for no apparent reason. And then she flip flopped at the last minute to make the ending.
Setting also plays a big role for me- I love English chick lit mostly for the setting. Remove a few references to the Underground and this could be in any non-descript city.
AVOID THIS!
