Sometimes I wonder why I spend the money on these book boxes with the rising costs of everything these days especially and usually not reading through all five books each month before the next box comes, but then I remember that when I‘ve had a month like the one I‘ve had and learn that I can‘t trust people to care about me or protect me, I can trust books and they haven‘t failed me or let me down yet.

I cracked and got the North as my #BOTM because I REALLY wanted the add-ons.
Plus I had a lot of FOMO that I didn‘t grab Wild Dark Shore earlier. And everyone I‘ve talked to about it loved it. With my #aardvarkbookclub picks that‘s 6 books bought today. I need to slow down. 📚

Yesterday was such a great book mail day that I forgot to share that my blue box came!!

Being that my box came late this month I‘m surprised it took all day to unbox it after getting it from my mail room earlier this afternoon….

Before I know it it‘s gonna be March and we‘re gonna be picking the next round!!

But it‘s my birthday on Sunday so I‘m thinking it actually ended up arriving right on time!!

Let us hope life affords me enough time to not only buy & collect these books, but also read them sometime soon!!

I might have a meeting that I am absolutely dreading first thing this morning, but my box showed up and I got to unpack it before that, so I‘m actually starting the day off with something that‘s happy and excites me!!

The good news? My BOTM box showed up right on time today and SIX new books this month!!

The box looked opened/damaged when I retrieved it.
First time in 5 years of being a BOTM member that that has happened.

One more silver lining is that none of the books inside the box were actually damaged.

Went a little nuts with BOTM picks for March. The Storm We Made is getting lots of Women Prize buzz and The Great Divide also got a couple of mentions. Murder Road is for July #SundayBuddyRead. The Fox Wife is #blameitonLitsy and Yours Truly was the only free finalist book I haven‘t read or don‘t already own. Looking forward to seeing everyone‘s choices.

Making a dent in my TBR list on the BOTM app!! With a blanket as blue as their boxes to boot!! We‘ve had a pretty tame winter season so far, but I‘m not writing off time to get cozy and snuggle up with these and others that I‘ve now made part of my collection!!

Wasn‘t crazy about the picks this month, but wanted to keep working my way through my BOTM TBR list, so now there‘s quite the TBR stack going on my night stand!!

Really wasn't feeling any of the May #botm picks 😕 Was really hoping the new R.F. Kuang book would be an option since Babel was a previous pick, but no luck. I guess it's still a possibility for June?

Monthly book clubs: #BOTM was a mess! Originally I had gone with Adelaide to close out my second account. But I forgot that I set my bday month to April on my bff account, so I ended up with a second box with Advika and Weyward.

I like TV show within a book as a plot device, so I had to go with Ruthy Ramirez as my #aardvark pick, but I was tempted by A Likely Story, too.

2nd month in a row I‘ve skipped ☹️. There just hasn‘t been anything screaming to me “pick me, pick me, pick me!”. Next month‘s my birthday month so hopefully something catches my eye 🤞.

When your family makes you feel like it was a poor life decision to get a box & keep your subscription but you‘re actually excited about it & can‘t wait to dive in to these…you all get to see them now. 😂😏🤣

Not sure how many folks got the #BOTM audiobook early access, but I wanted to share what it looks like in the app for those that are curious. Not all of the books are available on audio, but the ones that are have a little headphone icon. *After* you've confirmed your physical books, you can use credits to also buy audiobooks. There's a preview button for a sample of the narration, and a new tab where you would listen to the book in the app ⬇️

My beautiful Royal blue November BOTM book box did show up right on time today,
so even if life got me down, moral of the story is…everyday may not be good, but there‘s something good in everyday!

Even though REL‘s audiobook companion doesn‘t get released until November 15th, I think the order pictured is still how I‘ll read these.

I wasn't feeling any of the #botm choices this month. I think this may be the first time I've skipped in the 2 years I've had my membership.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think Aardvark is making #BOTM nervous. This makes it sound like their loyalty program will now have more perks... and the first "perk" they announce is that you can opt to *pay* $32 for a water bottle that doesn't even have any bookish branding? SO underwhelming.

They also added a lower tier "friend" status but added nothing new for those of us who have been members or BFF's the longest? I don't get it.

I‘m so impressed with the durability of the tote bag & the extra pocket on the inside of the bag that I was previously unaware it had prior to its arrival!

Initially had a hard time deciding which one I‘d read first and that struggle was solely based on how gorgeous I think both of these covers are, but I think I‘m gonna go with “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” because I want to read Crouch‘s books in order and I haven‘t gotten to his first two yet.
