Here's my July #bookspin, with lots of comics and GNs I've already requested from the library. Wasn't able to get my hands on a copy of Circe (my June bookspin) until recently so it's going back on the list.
Thanks! @TheAromaofBooks

Great graphic novel of 3 college age girls, and their adventures into life.
Enjoyed so much I have the next one on hold through #libby.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book #9: I loved it... but there have been so many amazing graphic novels and comics lately that this isn‘t necessarily the next to-be-purchased series... I would like to see if I can get them from the library though! Had a Lumberjanes vibe - very funny and great femme energy.
I decided to expand what I read into Graphic Novels. This is a pretty good series so far.
Will definitely continue reading this series. So funny 🤣
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I believe @biblio_ginger would quite agree with Nadia about Enya. This graphic novel continues to make me laugh out loud. I'm happy Freddy got it for me from the library 😍🤩! #giantdays #graphicnovels
#bookreport time - it‘s Saturday here in NZ
87yo Dad‘s reading -He loved The Shipwreck Hunter but bailed on Enemy at the Gates because it was too detailed for him.
9yo‘s reading - Finished Vanished, book2 in a series he LOVES. He‘s also listening to audio books and reading graphic novels on an app called Epic. I finished reading The Subtle Knife aloud to him. First time I‘ve read it and managed to cry and read simultaneously 😭⬇️
Giant Days is a reread. At least of these five volumes. I first read them a few years ago but didn‘t keep up so I was thrilled to see all the volumes on the library shelves .
I hadn‘t heard of Hit-Girl before and the first volume wasn‘t available but hey the Canada volume is written by Jeff Lemire!
Diary of a Tokyo Teen was something I spotted while browsing the memoirs shelves. It looks cute!
My #Booked2019 #comicorgraphicnovel pick was a cute and fun read. Makes me nostalgic for those college days with my besties. Good start and I will definitely go for the rest of the volumes!
I had read this a few years ago and really enjoyed it then, but for some reason didn‘t keep up with the series. It was even better than I remembered. I find myself laughing out loud and reminiscing about the antics I had with my college buddies.
The laziest of lazy Sunday mornings! 😻😻😴 Messy covers, don‘t care. 🤷🏻♀️
Starting this comic series and playing The Office in the background. I‘m quite excited for a quiet night at home.
A complete, 💯 percent, no questions asked #blameitonlitsy book arrived in the mail today.
Hey Book Butterflies!
Hope you've been enjoying a book-filled weekend! I know I am. And had so much fun reading for Dewey's 24-Hr #Readathon! Here's how I did...
Hrs read: 21
Bks read: 3 finished (Girl at the Grave, The Woman in Cabin 10, Giant Days, Vol. 1), 1 started (The Book of M), 1 continued (House of Gold)
No blackout, but I did get bingo twice! Not bad for someone in a reading slump! ^_^
Did you join #Deweyoct Readathon? How did you do?
OMG, I'm not sure if I'd want these 3 in my circle while at university. They discover themselves and it is comical?I know I wasn't that weird at 18.
They get the flu, placed on the "fresh meat" list, question their sexual preference, party like White Chicks but not with the same budget, get a pet and publish a misandrist blog. All in the first semester!
It was hard for me to follow the England slang so I didn't understand some of this. I guess I enjoyed it otherwise.
Got some new Library books today!! I have heard such good things about both these series so cannot wait to dive in! 😊
I really enjoyed this book. I wasn‘t expecting it to be as funny as it was. It made me laugh out loud several times. The only downside was that I kept thinking that maybe I was reading the books out of order. There‘s a lot of backstory that isn‘t revealed until later in the book. So for the first 2 chapters I felt like maybe I missed something. That might have just been a me thing.
I loved this! It's one of the cutest books I've read in a long time, and the art style is to die for.
Currently reading.
Monologue when I started reading The Heir, after reading the 3 previous books and not enjoying them: Why am I doing this to myself again?
Lord knows. 🤔
This series is the cutest. 💞
An adorable graphic novel about three girls who are just trying to make it through the first few weeks of university together. I love all three of them, and their friendship makes me miss my college days with my bestie. 💞 Excited to see that there are so many issues. I will be reading them all. 💞 #graphicnovel #graphic #giantdays #bestfriends #collegedays #comics #graphicnovels #hoopla
...and you'll all be thrilled to know this the end of my #marchintoreading post-o-rama. Until I found Litsy, I didn't know about Giant Days (or Goldie Vance or Paper Girls or Lumberjanes) and now I am just another addict. And happy to be one.
Giant Days vol 1
A "slice of life"-type series about 3 girls who've become good friends shortly after starting college. The story is easy to follow and the characters are quite interesting. I love the colors used in the illustrations ?
I can't truly relate to all their random undergraduate encounters, but it was entertaining to read about them ?

I like to have a few short reads for the #24in48 #readathon, so these are my graphic novel and poetry picks. @24in48
I ordered this book after several here recommended it. The story sounded good. I guess I didn't look to closely because I was surprised when it arrived and was a graphic novel. I don't enjoy graphic novels. I handed it to my NON READER teenager, who has occasionally given passing nod to manga and verse when forced to read somethimg. She sat down and read the whole thing in one afternoon and is begging for the others. Thank you Litsy!
