Sold my first book on Alibris today. Cost me $1. Wanted to sell it for $5, but hundreds of copies were selling for $1.99, so I went with the flow. Got $3.99 in shipping credit, paid $1.65 in fees, shipped for $4.80. So in the end, I paid a few bucks to ship a book to someone. The lesson was worth it though. I might start trying to sell the books I bind and paint. One day, a physical bookstore.

I'm so frustrated, right up to the last 10% this was working up to be one of my favourite Charlaine Harris. She builds up the tension to fever pitch as something stirs under the crossroads. But the boss fight fell completely flat to me. Deflating.

My first #friyayintro post!
1. More lazing around and sleeping; had my tonsils taken out this week and have another week to go before I'm allowed back to work (or anything else!).
2. I've read the Midnight, Texas trilogy by Charlaine Harris this month!
3. Winter ❄️ moving into a house with no air conditioning makes you hate summers! 😂
4. Hmm, tough one as I've been to so many. Probably either the NKOTBSB tour or the Pop2K tour!
5. Will do! 👍🏻

Good story wrapping up various plotlines but rather crammed together as if it was originally meant to be a quartet or quintet rather than a trilogy.

That was a good way to end the book and the series. Although, Charlaine Harris said that it may not be the end. Either way, I liked how she wrapped up the stories for each character in a neat little bow. #charlaineharris #nightshift #midnighttexas

I‘m pleased with the ending of the Midnight, Texas trilogy (although according to Harris she did leave it open in case she decided to add more books). I liked the new characters, as well as some familiar faces from the Sookie series. Would I like to read more? Oh yes! But, it was wrapped up nicely without being forced, and some things were left for the reader to imagine. 🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2 out of 5.

EclecticBookLover I may have to check that out since it has some characters from Sookie Stackhouse! And three books is a manageable series lol 2y
PenguinInFlight @EclecticBookLover I really enjoyed it! I‘ve read all of the Sookie series, this one, the Harper Connelly series, and part of the Lily Bard series and Aurora Teagarden series. The only one I really couldn‘t get into was the Aurora Teagarden series...I struggled through the first two books and gave up. All the others have been fantastic, though. 👍🏻 2y

I really feel like Charlaine Harris is hitting her stride with this series. The characters are fleshing out, the story is well formed and succinct, though it did seem anticlimactic. However, it was a ton of fun to read!

Finally the answers I was looking for (from watching the TV show - I'm 2 episodes away from finishing) - the show seems to be a jumble of events from book 1 and 3. Quite happy to see Quinn the WereTiger again ♥️. This was the fastest moving book in the trilogy but CH awkward phrasing struck again and left me like 🙄 I'm so pleased to have knocked thru a series in such a short time - the book slump fog is lifting!

A pick for this 3rd book & the series. Harris wrote it as a trilogy but I'd be happy if she continued. Not my favorite of her series but I liked the characters-both new & those that popped up from other books & the humor. This book gets points for plenty of Quinn 🐯& between the weretigers & Mr. Snuggly (Fiji's snarky😼familiar with special talents), there are cats & #catpeople so I'm using it for today's #septembowie prompt. Max❤️Mr. Snuggly too.

I thought her second book suffered middle-book lag before ending on a strong note. The concluding book to the trilogy earned a two-star rating on Goodreads, my first to hand out. The plotting seemed rushed, the characters flattened in the process, and it just missed something I have seen in early Sookie Stackhouse novels. (Heart?)

If I had to point out one flaw, it's lots of telling and no showing. I read it to finish the trilogy.
